SECOND TEAM ALL-SHORE

OFFENSE

QB – Frankie Williams, Sr., Red Bank Catholic

Williams was the heart and soul of RBC’s offense with 1,735 yards passing, 19 touchdown passes and only three interceptions. He also led the team in rushing with 425 yards and 8 touchdowns. He finished his three-year varsity career as the most prolific offensive player in RBC history with a school-record 5,074 yards passing and 58 TD passes along with 1,148 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns, giving him 6,222 total yards and 74 total touchdowns, which are also school records. He was named All-Class A North by the coaches.

 

QB – Zach LaBarca, Jr., St. John Vianney

In his first season with the Lancers, LaBarca threw for 1,903 yards and 15 touchdowns and ran for 750 yards and 5 touchdowns for a team that reached the Non-Public B semifinals. He threw for 202 yards and a touchdown and ran for 70 yards in a win over Class C North champion Holmdel, and he had 176 yards passing and two touchdowns in a state playoff victory over Red Bank Catholic. He also ran for 148 yards and a score and passed for 74 and a touchdown in a playoff win over Notre Dame. He was an All-Class C North pick by the coaches.

 

QB – Nick Cardone, Sr., Freehold Township

Cardone finished his record-setting career with 2,503 yards passing and 27 touchdowns in the Patriots’ spread passing attack, with a single-game high of 331 in a win over rival Freehold. He also led the team in rushing with 310 yards and 6 touchdowns. Cardone ended as Freehold Township’s all-time leading passer with 5,688 yards, which ranks in the top 10 in Shore Conference history. He also had 59 career touchdown passes. Cardone was named the Class B North Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches.

 

RB – Jaimin Parkinson, Sr., Pinelands

Parkinson was among the Shore’s leading rushers with 1,610 yards and 16 touchdowns on 7.3 yards per carry for a 5-5 Wildcats squad. He went over 100 yards in all but one game for Pinelands and had a career-high 234 and three touchdowns in a win over Neptune. He finished his career with 3,489 yards rushing and 40 touchdowns.

 

RB – Jake Henehan, Sr., Toms River South

The Indians senior racked up 1,373 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns for a team that won a share of the Class B South title. He has six 100-yard rushing games, including a career-high 271 in a win over Raritan and 100 in an overtime playoff loss to Marlboro. He was an all-Class B South selection by the coaches. Henehan was named the Class B South Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches.

 

RB – Jonah Glenn, Jr., Jackson Memorial

The standout junior battled injuries that caused him to miss all or parts of multiple games but still finished with 968 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns on 8.6 yards per carry. Glenn has 2,552 career rushing yards and 21 touchdowns and will be one of the Shore’s top returning running backs in 2025.

 

WR – Michael Thomas III, Sr., Donovan Catholic

One of the only three FBS recruits in the Class of 2025 in the Shore Conference, the Rutgers-bound Thomas battled injuries to finish with a team-high 592 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns on an average of 8 yards per carry and also had 228 yards receiving and a touchdown on 23 catches. The all-around athlete had 910 all-purpose yards despite missing multiple games. He also had 33 tackles and an interception on defense.

 

WR – Noah Cancela, Sr., Freehold Township

Cancela was one of two wide receivers in the Shore Conference to go over 1,000 yards this season with a single-season school record 1,015 on 76 catches to go with 11 touchdown grabs for a team that reached the state playoffs. He had five 100-yard receiving games, with a high of 170 in a win over rival Freehold Boro. He finished his career with 115 catches for 1,490 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was an All-Class B North pick by the coaches.

 

WR – Eric Zebrowski, Sr., Jackson Memorial

Zebrowski was an impact player as a receiver and a defensive back for a Jaguars team that reached the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinals. He averaged 23 yards per reception with 29 catches for 667 yards and 7 touchdowns, rushed for 326 yards and 5 touchdowns on an average of 9.1 yards per carry, and had 57 tackles with three tackles for loss on defense.

 

OL – Jack Mauthe, Sr., Rumson-Fair Haven

Mauthe was a standout up front for the No. 1 offense in the Shore as the Bulldogs averaged 40.7 points per game with 2,947 yards passing and 26 touchdowns and 2,081 yards rushing and 44 touchdowns. His play helped Rumson to a 13-0 record and the NJSIAA Group 2 state title.

 

OL – James Aldrich, Sr., Donovan Catholic

One of only a handful of Shore Conference seniors to commit to Division I programs, Aldrich is headed to Wagner. He was an All-Class A South pick by the coaches.

 

OL – Michael Dwyer, Sr., Middletown North

Dwyer was the top offensive lineman for a Lions team that averaged 30.5 points per game with 1,749 yards passing and 16 touchdowns and 1,690 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns. He also played on defense and recorded 27 tackles, 1 sack and 4 tackles for loss. His played helped Middletown North go 8-2 and win the Class B North division title.

 

OL – Hathem Hooranyi, Sr., Toms River North

An All-Class A South pick by the coaches, Hooranyi was a two-way force for the Mariners. He was one of the top offensive linemen on an undefeated team that averaged 37.6 points and 350 yards per game. Hooranyi also had 68 tackles, 11 for a loss, as an immovable object in the middle of the defensive line for the three-time Group 5 champions.

 

OL – Jayden Elijah, Sr., Matawan

The 6-foot-8, 295-pound senior was an All-Class B North pick by the coaches while helping paving the way for 1,800 yards rushing for the Huskies. Elijah is one of just three Shore Conference seniors signed to a Power 4 program, as he is headed to Rutgers University. He was an All-Class B North pick by the coaches.

 

OL – Hamza Elmesi, Sr., Holmdel

Elmesi was the top lineman for a Holmdel offense that was third in the Shore averaging 35.5 points per game with 1,944 yards passing and 19 touchdowns and 1,849 yards rushing and 27 touchdowns. He also played along the defensive line and recorded 45 tackles, a fumble return touchdown and a blocked kick. His play helped the Hornets go 8-2 and win the Class C North division title.

 

ATH – Cole Garrison, So., Toms River North

One of the top young players in the Shore Conference, Garrison had 74 tackles in the secondary along with a fumble recovery for the unbeaten Mariners. He also had 19 catches for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns and was an explosive running option when stepping in at quarterback, finishing with 407 yards and 7 touchdowns on 8.3 yards per carry. He became a force in the state playoffs, rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns in the sectional final and running for 84 yards and two scores in the Group 5 championship game.

 

ATH – Achilles Etienne, Jr., Manasquan

Etienne established himself as one of the Shore’s top young running backs this season with 1,129 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns on 8.4 yards per carry. He had six 100-yard rushing games and rolled up a career-high 230 yards and a school-record six touchdowns in a win over Monmouth.

 

K – Ian Spicer, Sr., Manchester

A versatile player on the most successful team in program history, Spicer made 33 of 34 extra points and was 5-for-7 on field goals. His delivered a dramatic go-ahead 38-yard field goal with just seconds remaining to lift the Hawks to a 30-29 win over West Deptford in the South Jersey Group 2 quarterfinals, giving Manchester its first playoff win in program history. He played linebacker and made 52 tackles, 3 sacks and 4 tackles for loss and also stepped in to play along the offensive line during the playoff win over West Deptford. His efforts helped Manchester go 8-3 and finish first in Class C South for the program’s first outright division title.

 

 

DEFENSE

DL – Ben Gredell, So., Rumson-Fair Haven

The standout sophomore made 60 tackles with 5.5 sacks and 6 tackles for a loss along the defensive line for a Rumson team that was third in the Shore in points allowed (13.4) en route to a 13-0 season and the NJSIAA Group 2 state championship.

 

DL – Matteo Masotti, Sr., Wall

Masotti posted 52 tackles with two sacks and six tackles for loss for a physical Wall defense that was sixth in the Shore allowing 14.5. His play helped the Crimson Knights go 8-3 and reach the Central Jersey Group 2 sectional final.

 

DL – Jarairya Jean, Jr., Neptune

Jean was an unstoppable force in Class D North with 82 tackles, 7 sacks, 20 tackles for loss and two blocked kicks. He finished fifth in the Shore in both sacks and TFLs to help the Scarlet Fliers go 5-5 for their most wins since 2019.

 

DL – Toby Najenson, Jr., Rumson-Fair Haven

Najenson enjoyed a breakout season for the Group 2 champs with 70.5 tackles, 6 sacks and 11 tackles for loss to help Rumson go 13-0 and win the first overall state title in program history. He was an All-Class A North selection by the coaches.

 

LB – Brady Cicala, Jr., Toms River North

Cicala was a linchpin of Toms River North’s defense, which led the Shore with a 7.9 points per game average. He made 109 tackles manning the middle of the Mariners’ defense and added 1 sack, 11 tackles for loss and 1 fumble recovery.  His played helped Toms River North go 14-0, win a third straight Group 5 state title and finish No. 1 in the SSI Top 12.

 

LB – Justin Davis, Jr., Wall

An All-Class C North pick by the coaches, Davis led the Central Jersey Group 2 finalists with eight sacks to go with 60 tackles, 5 for a loss, two fumble recoveries and an interception.

 

LB – Tommy Schroeder, Sr., Shore

Schroeder led the 10-win Blue Devils with 120 tackles, including 11 for a loss, and two sacks to earn Class D North Defensive Player of the Year honors from the coaches. He also had four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries for a Shore team that won the Class D North title and reached a sectional final. He was an All-Class D North pick by the coaches.

 

DB – Ryan Clark, Jr., Middletown North

Clark was tied for second in the Shore with five interceptions on a defense that was No. 4 in the Shore allowing just 13.5 points per game. He added 21 receptions for 295 yards and a touchdown as a wide receiver to help the Lions go 8-2 and win the Class B North division title.

 

DB – Justin Silva, Sr., Southern

Named the Class B South Defensive Player of the Year by the coaches, Silva had 43 tackles, 2 for a loss. He also ran for 569 yards and 8 touchdowns and had 12 catches for 239 yards and 4 touchdowns for a team that reached the state playoffs.

 

DB – Luke Houston, Sr., Marlboro

A returning All-Shore selection, Houston had 49 tackles and 2 interceptions and added team-leading totals of 26 receptions for 466 yards and 2 touchdowns to help Marlboro reach the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinals and finish No. 12 in the SSI Top 12.

 

DB – Brendan Sliva, Sr., Middletown South

The All-Class A North pick from the coaches led the Eagles with 105 tackles, 5 for a loss, and also had an interception. He excelled in some of Middletown South’s biggest games with 12 tackles against Red Bank Catholic and 14 tackles in a playoff loss to Shawnee. He also ran for 483 yards and 5 touchdowns on the other side of the ball. Sliva finished his career with 196.5 tackles.

 

DB – Nnaemeka Amaechina, Sr., Central Regional

Amaechina was an All-Class B South selection by the coaches, recording 91 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 3 forced fumbles. He added two offensive touchdowns and helped the Golden Eagles go 8-2 and earn a share of the Class B South division title.

 

ATH – Carson Memmott, Sr., Rumson-Fair Haven

A versatile performer for the undefeated Group 2 champions, Memmott played kicker, wide receiver and safety. He led the Shore Conference with 65 extra points on 65-for-70 accuracy and also went 4-for-5 on field goals. He had 13 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown, including a clutch catch on fourth down on the winning drive in the Group 2 championship game against Shabazz. Defensively, he tied for the team lead with 4 interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns, including one in the Group 2 semifinals against Point Boro. He was an All-Class A North selection at defensive back by the coaches.

 

ATH – Cole Torres, So., Shore

Named the Class D North Player of the Year by the coaches, Torres had 38 tackles and a team-high 16 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles at defensive end. He also led the Class D North champions and Central Jersey Group 1 finalists with  812 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns on an average of eight yards per carry.

 

ATH – Nick Spanola, So., Point Boro

Spanola’s emergence on offense made the Panthers’ flexbone offense a true triple-option with his ability to create big plays on the outside. He rushed for 697 yards and six touchdowns on an average of 11.4 yards per carry for an offense that was No. 4 in the Shore with 33.2 points per game. On defense he had 48 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 sack, 3 tackles for loss and 2 fumble recoveries. He was also a dangerous kick returner with two kickoff return touchdowns.

 

ATH – Vincent Meehan, Sr., Howell

Meehan was Howell’s staring quarterback and a standout defensive back, throwing for 648 yards and 7 touchdowns, rushing for a team-high 612 yards and two scores, and making 63 tackles and intercepting three passes on defense to help the Rebels finish No. 11 in the SSI Top 12. Also a standout lacrosse player, Meehan is committed to Division 2 power Lenoir Ryhne.

 

ATH – Jah’Mir Lane-Bailey, Jr., Red Bank

The Bucs’ top two-way player recorded 72 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries and 3 blocked field goals as an outside linebacker and caught 17 passes for 343 yards and 5 touchdowns as a wide receiver to help the Bucs go 5-4 and make the Central Jersey Group 4 playoffs.

 

P – Tommy Merlucci, Sr., New Egypt

The former soccer standout was great in his first and only year of high school football, averaging 40 yards per punt, kicking a pair of field goals and contributing on defense when the Warriors went 5-4 in their first season in the Shore Conference.
