No. 1 Colts Neck 3, No. 4 Manasquan 2
The No. 1 team at the Shore fell behind for all of 22 seconds Tuesday, with sophomore Sean Moore scoring the equalizer early in the second half and senior Kyle Moore later finishing the game-winner in the 55th as the Cougars outlasted the Warriors to reach the SCT semifinals for the first time since 2019.
Colts Neck opened the scoring in the 12th minute, when junior Gabe Kruglyansky headed in a corner kick by classmate Ben Kazani. Manasquan answered in the 35th minute on a goal by senior Jorge Cruz Cruz, which sent the team into halftime tied at one.
Manasquan gained its brief advantage on a penalty kick by junior Cruz Frakas after senior Tristan Davolos-Guillen drew a foul inside the 18-yard box just two minutes into the second half. The lead lasted all of 22 seconds, with Sean Moore scoring off a feed from older brother, Kyle to draw Colts Neck even.
The Warriors stayed in the game until the final whistle thanks to senior goalkeeper Dylan Morris, who saved a penalty kick late in the second half.
Colts Neck will play Ocean in the first game of Thursday’s semifinal double-header at Summerfield Elementary School in Neptune, with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
No. 2 CBA 1, Holmdel 0
Senior Brayden Perry broke a scoreless deadlock in the 73rd minute off a pass from junior Ryan Asadi and the Colts survived a defensive battle with the Hornets to advance to the SCT semifinals for the sixth consecutive season that the tournament was contested.
CBA defeated Holmdel, 7-0, in a Shore Conference Class A North regular-season division match on Sept. 30, but the Hornets dragged the three-time defending champions into the final eight minutes with the game still hanging in the balance.
CBA will play Lacey Thursday in the SCT semifinal round at Summerfield Elementary School in Neptune, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Lacey 5, No. 5 Central 0
Junior Aiden Schmitt scored the first of his two goals 46 seconds into the match and classmate Tanner Grozinski exploded for a hat trick to lead a Lions rout over the rival Golden Eagles.
Grozinski chipped a pass into the box during the first minute of the match and Schmitt headed it over the head of Central goalkeeper Kaden Stout, off the far-right post and in with 39:14 remaining on the first-half clock.
In the 15th minute, Grozinski ran down a long pass from senior Aidan Fitzgerald and hammered in the breakaway chance for a 2-0 Lions lead.
In the prior round of the tournament on Friday, Lacey rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit en rout to a win over Middletown South in a penalty shootout. Tuesday, the Lions made certain they would not be on the other end of a comeback by staying on the attack. Grozinski added his second goal before halftime, which came on a 23-yard free kick in the 31st minute that he struck low and hard on the unpredictable natural surface on Lacey’s home pitch.
Nine minutes into the second half, Grozinski completed his hat trick by taking a pass from Schmitt, beating a defender along the end-line on the right side of the goal and punching a shot inside the near-right post for a 4-0 Lacey lead.
Schmitt capped the scoring in the 59th minute on a one-timed volley just above the ground of after a Central defender headed it toward his own goal.
Sophomore Dylan Graham saved nine shots to earn the shutout for Lacey.
Lacey will make its first tript to the SCT semifinals since 2011 and will face off against three-time defending champion CBA in the second game of Thursday night’s double-header at Summerfield Elementary School in Neptune.
No. 7 Ocean 1, No. 8 Rumson-Fair Haven 0
Senior Ryan Fernandez struck for the lone goal of the game late in the first half and the Ocean defense and sophomore goalkeeper Matt Makower made is stand up in a win over the Bulldogs that sends the Spartans to their first SCT semifinal since 2018.
Senior Noor Eraky drew a foul to set up a free kick. Eraky also served the free kick into the box, where Fernandez knocked it in for the game’s lone goal.
With Tuesday’s win, Ocean will take on No. 1 ranked and unbeaten Colts Neck in the first game Thursday’s SCT semifinal double-header at Summerfield Elementary School in Neptune.

Senior Kam Brown scored in the first half and classmate Nick Turturro added another in the second half to deliver the Rebels a win over the Jaguars.

Senior Christian Laverde scored the second of his two goals on a tiebreaking penalty kick in the 77th minute and the Braves pulled out a late win over the Patriots.
Laverde scored off a pass from junior Eduardo Russo midway through the first half before senior Brandon Cooperman pulled Freehold Township even in the 33rd by finishing off a rebound.

Senior Luke Bodziak scored the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute off a pass from classmate Will Lauria to power the Raiders to a win over the Lancers.
Marlboro 2, Brick Memorial 0
Vinny Prollifone and Ari Stillwell each scored a goal to lead Marlboro to a shutout win over Brick Memorial in a battle of the Mustangs.
Point Boro 1, Raritan 0
Junior Jake Greene scored the deciding goal in the 45th minute off a pass from classmate Joe Doles and the Panthers held on to top the Rockets, with junior Adam Baker notching the shutout.
No. 9 Toms River North 4, Middletown South 3
Senior Christian Caso scored a pair of goals and classmate Josh Brazier added a goal and an assist as the Mariners won a high-scoring match over the Eagles.
Christian Wagner scored the first Toms River North goal off a pass from Christian Assante before Caso scored his first off a feed from Brazier. Senior James Homyak assisted the last two Mariners goals — the first by Brazier and the second by Caso.
Toms River South 4, Red Bank 1
Senior David Mandica scored the first and last goals for Toms River Sout as the Indians topped the Bucs on the road.
Mandica opened the scoring with a shot off the bottom of the crossbar and over the goal-line in the third minute and Caden Langan knocked in a pass from junior Shane Gambarony in the 18th minute for a 2-0 Toms River South lead.
Gambarony extended Toms River South’s lead to 3-1 in the 56th minute off a pass from junior Jacob Myers before Mandica capped the scoring with a penalty kick in the 60th.
Senior Trey Cummings scored off a pass from classmate Jason Monge to cut Red Bank’s deficit to 2-1 in the 35th minute.

Senior Aidan Donnelly scored two goals and classmate Nick Prosperi added another to power the Rams to a win over the Crimson Knights on Senior Night.

Johan Gomez was one of six different Long Branch players to score a goal and he also dished out a pair of assists to spark the Green Wave to a win over the Falcons.
Evan Santiago and Jordan Vieira each added a goal and an assist and Alejandro Flores-Lopez dealt out two assists in the win. Marvin Oyuela, Chris DeOliveira Santos and Thomas Silva Ferreira each scored a goal for Long Branch as well.
Long Branch will travel to Point Pleasant Thursday to take on Point Beach in the Coaches Cup semifinals.

Senior Jadyn DeRosa scored two of Shore’s three first-half goals and the Blue Devils held off the Green Dragons to reach the Coaches Cup semifinals Thursday, when they will host Lakewood.
Senior Joey Ilvento scored off a pass from sophomore Mike Ilvento to open the scoring in the sixth minute. DeRosa then converted a penalty kick in the 25th minute and scored Shore’s final goal in the 30th off a pass from junior Madden DeRosa.
(2) Point Beach 2, (7) Freehold Boro 1
Junior Dylan Ryan scored a goal in each half and the Garnet Gulls held off a second-half push by the Colonials to reach the Coaches Cup semifinals Thursday against Long Branch.
Ryan gave Point Beach a 1-0 lead off a pass from Brody Powers during the first half, then extended the Gulls’ lead to 2-0 in the second off a pass from sophomore Landon Hoberman.

Jackson Liberty 3, Red Bank Catholic 2
Senior Rich Kosek scored the tying and winning goals five minutes apart and the Lions rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the second half to upend the Caseys.
Senior Rocco Malagnone scored to get Jackson Liberty on the board in the 48th minute and slice Red Bank Catholic’s lead to 2-1. Malagnone then assisted the first of Kosek’s two goals, which tied the game in the 60th.
Malagnone capped the scoring off a find from Christopher Olivares-Gonzalez in the 65th.
RBC jumped out to a 2-0 lead with first-half goals by Caiden Deitz and Andrew Torregrossa.

Seniors Cody McLeod scored a goal in the first half and Anderson Ordoñez-Mejia added one in the second to pace the Hawks to a win over the Bengals.
McLeod scored off a pass from junior Brayden Kurak, while senior Gabe Occhipinti set up the finish by Ordoñez-Mejia. Senior goalkeeper Noah Cundiff saved a penalty kick to secure the clean sheet.
