Colts Neck Sophomore Sean Moore Named to Prestigious Boys Soccer All-American Team

Sean Moore opened up his high-school soccer career as the best freshman in the Shore Conference in 2023. In 2024, he turned in a season that earned him recognition as one of the best sophomores in the country.

Moore was named to the United Soccer Coaches High School All-America Team Wednesday, making him the lone sophomore, one of five players from New Jersey and the lone N.J. public-school player on the 2024 list.

After a 21-goal freshman season, Moore delivered 29 goals to go with 13 assists as a sophomore for a Colts Neck team that went 18-1-2. Teaming up older brother and senior captain Kyle Moore, Sean Moore led the Cougars to their first ever Shore Conference Tournament championship game. During the five-game championship run, Moore scored a goal in every game, including a penalty kick in the 3-2 championship win over Christian Brothers Academy before assisting Kyle’s game-winning midway through the second half.

Kyle Moore became Colts Neck’s all-time leading scorer this season, but Sean is in position to cruise past his older brother to the top spot on the program’s career scoring list. Kyle will graduate with 55 goals and 35 assists (145 points) and Sean heads toward the second half of his high school career already with 50 goals and 23 assists (123 points).

Sean Moore joins former Delran star and 2024 graduate Drew Roskos as the second sophomore from New Jersey to make the United Soccer Coaches All-American in the last four years. Roskos is also the last player to be recognized on the All-American list in three consecutive years, which Moore will have a chance to do. Moore is also the first Shore Conference boys player to make the All-American list since CBA’s Dylan Cupo in 2021.
