Ray Cervino Bracket

(3) Brick Township 68, (6) Middletown North 39

Brick (3-1) outscored Middletown North (0-4) 35 to 18 in the second-half to win 68-39 and advance into the semifinal round in the Ray Cervino Bracket. Sophomore Ariana Wissen scored a game-high 26 points for the Dragons. Ilyani pozo and Kendall Fredrickson both added 12 points for Brick.

Danielle Gonzalez scored a team-high 13 points for Middletown North.

Brick will play the 2-seed Howell on Sunday 12 p.m.

(2) Howell 47, (7) Central 34

Trailing 19-17 at halftime, Howell (4-0) outscored Central 30 to 15 in the second-half to advance into the semifinal round of the Ray Cervino Bracket. Junior Kylee Beam led all scorers with 19 points and Payton Smith added 14 points for the Rebels

Senior Emma Christensen scored a team-high 10 points for Central and Maddie Leopard added 8 points.

Howell will play the 3-seed Brick on Sunday at 12 p.m.

(4) Toms River East 49 (5) Middletown South 33

After a slow start by both teams, Toms River East took control in the second-half and outscored Middletown South 23 to 10 in the third quarter to advance into the semifinal round of the Ray Cervino Bracket. Junior Libby Dickman scored a game-high 17 points for the Raiders. Kacey Briles added 10 points for TRE.

Middletown South was led by Brooke MacGregor with 11 points.

TRE will play the winner of the Rumson/Manchester game on Sunday in the semifinal round.

(1) Rumson-Fair Haven 55, (8) Manchester 36

Trailing 24-18 at halftime, top-seeded Rumson went on a 22-6 run in the third quarter to advance into the semifinal of the Ray Cervino Bracket. Brown commit Erin Reid posted a double-double with a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds. Junior Grace Smith added 21 points for the Bulldogs.

Sophomore Jesse Sarana scored a team-high 15 points for Manchester,

Rumson will play the 4-seed Toms River East in the semifinal on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

 

Kathy Snyder Bracket

(11) Point Boro 47, (14) Toms River North 35

Tied 19-19 early in the second quarter, Point Boro (3-2) outscored Toms River North (1-4) 22 to 5 to close out the half and held on to win 57-45 and advance into the semifinals in the Kathy Snyder Bracket. The Panthers full court pressed caused the Mariners to turn the ball over several times.  Sophomore Georgia D’Angelo finished with a team-high 15 points and Olivia Catanese added 11 points for Point Boro.

The Mariners were led by freshman Montanna Knoeller and Sophomore Adrianna Lamicella both with 15 points.

Point Boro will play the Toms River South in the semifinal round on Sunday at 9 a.m.

(10) Toms River South 56, (15) Brick Memorial 35

Toms River South (3-1) held Brick Memorial (1-4) to single digits in the first-half and built a 25-8 lead to advance into the semifinal round of the Kathy Snyder Bracket. Sophomore Kylee Ford and Samantha Fallon both scored 11 points to lead TRS. Junior Linsey Cribbin added 10 points for the Indians.

Brick Memorial had three players score 8 points each. Mikayla Rivers, Avery Nalducci and Maren Schnieder led the Mustangs.

Toms River South will face (11) Point Boro on Sunday at 9 a.m.

(12) Donovan Catholic 51, (13) Lacey 47

After taking a 15-5 lead after the first-quarter, Donovan (1-2)allowed Lacey (3-2)to climb back into the game and needed a shot at the buzzer to send it to overtime. Senior Kylie DeGraff tied the game as the clock expired and Kaylen Wright knocked down two 3-pointers in overtime to send the Griffins into the semifinal round. Wright finished with 13 points and Anais Friedman had a team-high 17 points for Donovan.

Brooklyn Bell scored a team-high 17 points for Lacey.

Donovan will play top-seeded Wall in the semifinal on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

(9) Wall 37, (16) Point Beach 17

Wall (2-1) jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first quarter and built a 19-5 lead at halftime to advance into the semifinal round of the Kathy Snyder Bracket.  Junior Erin McBarron scored a game-high 12 points and Logan Wells added 7 points all in the third quarter for the Knights.

Sophomore Grace Coyle scored a team-high 6 points for Point Beach.

Wall will play Donovan in the semifinal on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
