Junior attackman Connor Holevinski scored a program single-game record nine goals to power the Spartans (5-2, 3-1) to a division victory over the Lancers (2-5, 1-3).
According to all available statistical records, Holevinski’s nine goals broke the previous record of eight set by Sam Hanna, who scored eight goals twice during the 2017 season.
Junior Jack Varley added a career-high six points on two goals and four assists and junior Lucas Renvoize scored his first varsity goal and added an assist. Junior defenseman Mickey McGovern and sophomore Frank Frasca each scored once and junior Ryan Smyth and senior Vincent Stolowski dished out two assists each.
Nondivisional
Wall 18, Long Branch 1
Wall (3-4) raced past Long Branch (1-6) behind strong defense and a balanced scoring effort led by senior Jackson Lemongelli’s hat trick. Junior Wyatt Capro added two goals and three assists, senior midfielder Michael Hoarle added two goals and two assists, and seniors Charles Mahoney and Owen Moore and freshman Declan Freud each scored twice. Five other Crimson Knights scored a goal including senior Joe Vaccaro, sophomore Parker Quinn, senior James Byrnes, senior Mason Adam, and senior Brody Schwinn. Senior goalie Braeden Buckley recorded five saves and allowed 0 goals while senior goalie Finnegan Tilton recorded two saves and allowed one goal in the victory.
Manalapan 12, Colts Neck 4
A hat trick from senior Matt Avivi as well as an 11-save performance from junior goalie Connor Doel helped Manalapan (4-3) top Colts Neck (1-5) in a district rivalry game. Seniors Anthony Tufte and Jake Schatz each notched two goals and tallied one assist while sophomore Nicky Palmieri scored twice. Sophomores Eli Greenberg and Ryan Seybuck had a goal and an assist. Senior John Delaney scored once and junior Brayden Claro added an assist for the Braves.
Red Bank 19, Red Bank Catholic 3
Junior attackman Gabe Pape tied his career highs for goals and points in a game with five goals and two assists for seven points, and sophomore Justin Valentino set career highs with five assists and eight points to lead the Bucs (2-4) to a lopsided win over the rival Caseys (0-8).
Pape’s seven points matched a mark he reached twice last season during a 57-point sophomore campaign. Valentino equaled his career-best with three goals to go along with his new high-water mark of five assists.
Junior Nathan Pelensky and freshman MJ Keating each recorded their first career hat tricks and both added one assist to finish with four points. Junior midfielder Ryan Deverin posted a career-high four points on two goals and two assists and freshman Ryder Kunkel tallied a goal and three assists. Senior attackman Jack Tavares added a goal and an assist, senior midfielder Will Ogden scored once, and junior midfielder Jack Berkeley chipped in with one assist.
In goal, junior Michael Eisenbaum made six saves, junior Owen Montgomery made one save, and sophomore Murphy Lennon made his first varsity action for Red Bank.
Sophomore midfielder Joe Egan scored twice and freshman midfielder Ashton Torregrossa scored once for RBC. Freshman goalie Wyatt Curley made 14 saves and senior goalie Julian Littman made four saves.

Point Boro 10, Brick Memorial 8
Senior attackman Brady Kirk tied a career-high with six goals and added two assists as the Panthers (4-1) scored four times in the fourth quarter to snap a 6-6 tie and run past the Mustangs (3-4).
Sophomore midfielder Blake Engelken scored a goal and won 14 of 18 face-offs while senior Jason Piemonte and sophomore Matt Prendeville had one goal apiece. Junior goalie Jack Watson made seven saves and senior Andrew Michigan chipped in with one assist.
Senior attackman Matt Malanga, junior attackman Jack Deufemia, and junior midfielder Justin Karlbon each scored twice and senior goalie Matt Hillin made 17 saves for Brick Memorial. Senior attackman Austin Edwards and senior defenseman AJ Ehrmantraut had one goal apiece.
Toms River North 5, Toms River South 4
Senior midfielder Robert Wingender notched a hat trick and senior goalie Charlie Machamer made 11 saves as the Mariners (3-3) edged the Indians (2-4) to win “The Civil War”.
Senior midfielder Ben Misa had a goal and two assists and senior middie Cooper Lachowicz scored once.
Lacey 17, Brick 1
Senior attackman Corey Smith sank 4 goals and distributed 3 assists and freshman Kyan Smith scored a career-high 4 goals and tallied an assist to lead Lacey (5-2) to a lopsided win over Brick (1-7). Junior Braedyn Gialanella scored 2 goals and tallied 6 assists. Sophomore Luke Miller and senior Derek Hurley each added 1 goal and 1 assist. Hurley recovered a team leading 16 ground balls. Juniors Alex Barneman, Jonathan Price, and Ryan Gleason each scored 1 goal in the win for the Lions.
Nonconference
Manasquan 9, Haddonfield 3
Senior attackman Ryan Aldi sank four goals and senior goalie Pat Loxley made 10 saves when the Warriors (8-0) took a 5-2 lead into halftime and tightened the vice in the second half to put away the Bulldawgs (2-2).
Junior midfielder Lucas Longo tallied two goals and two assists and junior midfielder and Cornell commit Jack O’Reilly delivered two goals and one assist. Senior attackman Brandon Kunz added one goal while senior midfielder Matt Schneider and sophomore Dax Klein had one assist each.
Senior middie Ryan Tourtellotte scored twice to lead Haddonfield.
Neptune 7 North Brunswick 4
Sophomore midfielder Hunter Reynolds scored five times and picked up 17 ground balls, and sophomore goalie Christian Loff made six saves to lead the Scarlet Fliers (3-3) to a victory over the Raiders (1-5).
Senior midfielder Daniel Merrit scored once and picked up 11 ground balls and freshman Shaun Dorsett scored his first varsity goal.
St. Augustine 12, Rumson-Fair Haven 5
Senior Britt Lumsden scored twice and sophomore goalie Peter Kessler made seven saves for the Bulldogs (4-3) in their non-conference road loss to the unbeaten Hermits (6-0).
St. Augustine built a 9-1 halftime lead as sophomore midfielder Brayson Thurber scored a game-high four goals with one assist and junior midfielder Ryan Diamond added a hat trick to lead the way.
Luke Lydon, Liam Haggerty, and Blake Ahmann each scored once for Rumson.
