No. 4 Rumson-Fair Haven 10, No. 1 Manasquan 8

Freshman midfielder Liam Haggerty scored the game-tying goal with 1:07 left in the third quarter and senior midfielder Grayson Goldin delivered the go-ahead goal with 4:30 left in regulation when the Bulldogs scored seven unanswered goals and blanked the Warriors in the second half for a huge win ahead of the Shore Conference Tournament.

Manasquan led 4-2 after the first quarter and 8-3 late in the second quarter when Rumson (9-8, 5-2) began its rally on a goal by senior midfielder Britt Lumsden. In the second half, freshman FOGO Jaden Cavise sparked the rally with a dominant work at the face-off X. The Bulldogs secured possession after possession and scored four goals in the final five minutes of the third quarter to tie the game 8-8 heading to the fourth quarter.

Junior attackman Luke Lydon scored a game-high three goals while Goldin and Lumsden scored twice. Freshman attackman Teddy Whitehouse scored once and senior FOGO Rory Keane scored six seconds into the game. Haggerty’s lone tally was the tying goal. Freshman goalie Daniel Joroschack made clutch saves after entering in the second half.

Junior midfielder Jack O’Reilly had two goals and two assists to lead Manasquan (11-2, 6-1). Senior attackman Brandon Kunz and senior midfielder Matthew Schneider also scored twice, senior attackman Ryan Aldi had a goal and an assist, and junior midfielder Lucas Longo scored once. Senior goalie Pat Loxley recorded double-digit saves.

No. 6 Toms River East 16, Toms River North 2

Junior attackman Nick Caruso spun an 11-point game with six goals and five assists to reach 200 career points and lead the Raiders (10-1) to a dominant win over the rival Mariners (8-5).

Sophomore attackman Gerard Uzzolino tallied five goals and three assists and senior midfielder Nate Cummings registered two goals and three assists. Senior midfielder Tyler Godlesky added a goal and two assists while junior attackman Riley Weber and junior midfielder Austin Weber each scored once.

Senior midfielder Ben Misa and senior Joe Palermo scored once each and senior goalie Charlie Machamer made 13 saves for Toms River North.

 

No. 7 Howell 13, Brick Memorial 4

Senior midfielder Vin Meehan scored four goals, senior attackman Jayden Devino recorded a hat trick and senior goalie Adam Baker turned aside 11 shots to lead the Rebels (11-1) past the Mustangs (8-6) for their 10th straight win.

Senior midfielder Nick Turturro, junior midfielder Cole Reinsdorf and junior attackman Mike Kelly each scored twice, while senior Jack Elias won 13 of 21 face-offs. Senior goalie John Polukort also saw time in goal and made one save.

Junior attackman Nick Correia had a goal and an assist and senior goalie Matt Hillin made 18 saves for Brick Memorial. Senior attackman Matt Malanga and junior attackman Jack Deufemia scored once each.

 

Wall 16, Middletown North 2

Senior midfielder Michael Hoarle scored four times and junior midfielder Patrick Freud totaled eight points on two goals and six assists as the Crimson Knights (5-9) blitzed the Lions (8-5) in an American/Colonial division crossover game.

Senior attackman Jackson Lemongelli recorded a hat trick and added two assists, and junior attackman Wyatt Capro had a hat trick plus one assist. Sophomore attackman Nick Forte scored his first varsity goal. Sophomore attackman Thomas Dollive and senior attackman Owen Moore had a goal and an assist each and junior midfielder Dylan Cohen also scored once.

Senior goalie Braeden Buckley made 12 saves and senior Finnegan Tilton made one save.

 

Barnegat 17, New Egypt 0

Senior midfielder Luke Tortorici fired in six goals and assisted on another and junior midfielder Keagan Dunn reached 100 career points with a five-point game when the Bengals (13-1) shut out the Warriors (5-5) to win their 12th consecutive game.

Dunn finished with three goals and two assists, senior attackman Jason McHale delivered two goals and three assists, and senior attackman Jakob Jason tallied two goals and two assists. Senior midfielder Stephen Griffin, junior defenseman Leo Chamorr and junior Connor Maloney each scored once, while freshman Matthew Corliss scored his first varsity goal. Freshman goalie Carter Mezzina made six saves to record his first career shutout.

 

Jackson Memorial 10, Freehold Township 9 (OT)

The Jaguars picked up their first win of the season in thrilling fashion to snap an 11-game losing streak.

For Freehold Township (5-8), senior midfielder Ryan Rowohit scored five goals and assisted on another. Freshman midfielder Benjamin Brauswetter scored twice, junior midfielder Noah Cobb had a goal and an assist and senior midfielder Ryan Rutt scored once. Senior attackman Brenden Carfagno dished out two assists and senior goalie Junior Alvarado made 10 saves.

 

Nonconference

No. 3 Shore 17, Peddie 5

Junior attackman Reid Spallone posted a career-high eight points with five goals and three assists to help power the Blue Devils (9-3) to a dominant win over the Falcons (5-7).

Senior midfielder Tucker Malfa recorded a hat trick and assisted on another, while senior midfielder Lukas Villa, senior attackman Braden Miller, and sophomore midfielder Brady McHughe had two goals and one assist each. Junior Jack Madalone added a goal and two assists and senior FOGO Brendan O’Brien was a perfect 22-for-22 at the face-off X. Junior midfielder John Mazzacco had a goal and an assist and senior defenseman Will Turner scored once. Sophomore goalie Joey Longo made five saves.

 

No. 5 Southern 12, Allentown 3

The Rams (9-4) used a balanced offensive effort with seven different goal scorers in a road victory over the Redbirds (7-3) in a Shore/Colonial Valley Conference crossover game.

Seniors Joe Kessler and Liam Griffin and sophomores Kyle Sininsky and Shea O’Donnell had two goals and one assist each, while sophomore Cash McVey also scored twice. Freshman LSM Lukas Iliescu and sophomore LSM Lucas Iorio added one goal each, and senior FOGO Collin Markoski won 11 of 19 draws. In goal, senior AJ Mattern and sophomore Nick Hughes made three saves each.

 

St. Joseph’s Metuchen 9, No. 2 CBA 7

Senior midfielder Davis Campbell had three goals and one assist and sophomore attackman Turker Cooke had four assists for the Colts (10-7) in their loss to the Falcons (13-3) in a Shore Conference/Greater Middlesex Conference crossover game.

The game was tied 4-4 at halftime. Senior Nick Hengerer led St. Joseph with a game-high six goals and one assist.

Junior attackman Caden Lucich scored twice, freshman midfielder Danny Varone added a goal and an assist, and freshman attackman Jackson Chaney scored twice. Junior goalie Shayne Boresen made five saves.

 

Monroe 6, No. 10 Middletown South 5

Junior Luke Gaffney scored twice and sophomore Ryan Colacichi had a goal and two assists for the Eagles (7-7) in their loss to the Falcons (4-6) in a Shore Conference/Greater Middlesex Conference crossover game.

Junior Jackson O’Keefe had a goal and an assist, senior Joe Sarci scored once and senior goalie Matt Mason made six saves.

Sophomore Willian Rembish recorded a hat trick and senior Peyton Million made a career-high 20 saves to lead Monroe to the victory.

 

 

Absegami 9, Central 5

The host Braves (5-5) used a six-goal second quarter to surge to a 7-3 halftime lead and hold off the Eagles (6-4) in a Shore/Cape Atlantic League crossover game.

Junior attackman Jake Agugliaro tallied two goals and one assist, senior attackman Patrick Florek had a goal and three assists, and senior goalie Brady Etzkorn made 21 saves to lead Central. Junior midfielder Tristan Rodriguez and senior defenseman Kareem McGrath added one goal each.
