Week 8 OIB Ortho Team of the Week: Neptune Football

Neptune Clinches First Division Title Since 1998
The Week 8 recipient of the 2025 OIB Ortho Team of the Week is Neptune, following the Scarlet Fliers’ hard-fought 26-13 victory over Raritan.
On Tuesday, SSI visited practice to present Head Coach Mike Seber and the team with a commemorative game ball and the $500 Joe Leone’s gift card for a well-earned pasta party.
The Scarlet Fliers (8-1, 4-0) left no doubt about who rules Class D North, rolling past the Rockets (3-5, 3-1) to capture their first outright division championship in 26 years.
Brown-Mason Leads the Way
Junior quarterback Caleb Brown-Mason put on a show, throwing three touchdown passes, two of them to junior wideout Hassin McMillan in the first half, while adding 104 rushing yards on 16 carries. He also connected with Daaron Lynch for another score, leading a balanced and explosive Neptune offense.
Junior running back Kingston Pinnock added a rushing touchdown as the Scarlet Fliers continued to fire on all cylinders.
Raritan Fights Hard in the Loss
For Raritan, junior Marko Brown broke free for a 37-yard touchdown run, while junior Eric Berg caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Parker Needham.
A Historic Milestone for the Scarlet Fliers
Behind Brown-Mason’s poise and Neptune’s relentless attack, the Scarlet Fliers sealed a historic milestone — their first outright division crown since 1998 — and sent a clear message that they’re one of the Shore’s teams to beat heading into the postseason.
