No. 1 CBA 67, Holmdel 40
Senior Connor Andree scored 14 points and both junior Avery Lynch and sophomore Izayah Cooper added 10 apiece to lead the Colts (14-2, 6-0) to a lopsided road win over the Hornets (6-5, 2-4) following two tight wins vs. Red Bank Catholic and Manasquan in a span of four days.
Senior Jack Vallillo scored 11 points and classmate Connor Paul added 10 to lead Holmdel.
No. 6 Manasquan 54, St. Rose 43
Sophomore Sean Bilodeau led a balanced Manasquan offense with 14 points and the Warriors (8-6, 4-2) topped the Purple Roses (1-14, 0-6) to complete a season sweep of their local rival.
Junior Logan Cleveland and sophomore Luke Winn each threw in 10 points and senior Jack O’Reilly added eight for Manasquan. Senior O’Rien Campbell led St. Rose with a game-high 15 points, while junior Marco Leonardis chipped in 14 and senior Tyler Cameron netted 13 in the loss.
Red Bank 51, No. 3 Rumson-Fair Haven 49
Senior Josiah Johnson hit an off-balance floater from close range with one second left and the Bucs (7-9, 2-4) finished off a stunning upset of the Bulldogs (12-4, 4-2) to complete another memorable installment of the Ridge Road Rivalry.
Johnson finished with eight points, three assists and four steals while junior Justin Valentino led Red Bank with 18 points and seven assists, with all 18 points coming during the second and third quarters. Sophomore Wyatt Hegner also contributed 11 points and seven rebounds in the victory.
Red Bank erased two different 10-point deficits and took its first lead, 41-38, with a 12-0 run that spanned the end of the third quarter and the first possession of the fourth. Rumson senior Luke Lydon tied the game, 43-43, with a three-pointer and Bulldogs senior Luke Cruz hit a mid-range jumper for a 46-44 Rumson lead.
Senior Jack Monahan catapulted Red Bank back in front with a corner three-pointer to make it 47-46 before Cruz answered with a traditional three-point play that put Rumson back ahead, 49-47. With 2:18 to go, Johnson found Hegner in the post for a game-tying finish that set the stage for a tight finish.
Neither team got off a clean shot over the ensuing two minutes, which included three Rumson turnovers and a blocked shot by Cruz on the other end. Red Bank worked the clock down and Rumson gave a foul with seven seconds left, which was just its second foul of the quarter. Johnson then got the ball at the top of the key, drove into the lane and hit a fading floater to break the tie.
Rumson was granted a timeout with one second left and the Red Bank administration, coaches and the game officials had to clear the court after the students from Red Bank’s “Buc Deck” cheering section stormed the court with no time showing on the clock. One second was applied to the clock and Rumson got the ball to Cruz near the three-point line, but his shot was blocked by Hegner.
Playing his first game since sustaining an eye injury vs. Holmdel on Jan. 8, Cruz led Rumson with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots. Freshman Clint Martin added 13 points in the loss.

Class A Central
No. 9 Freehold Twp. 75, Manalapan 64
Junior Jake Schultzel scored 20 points and classmate John O’Neill poured in 18 to lead the Patriots (8-6, 3-3) past the Braves (5-8, 0-6). Junior Grayson Ferraro netted 19 points, while junior Joe Farino added 18 and senior Dean Aviles contributed 16 to lead Manalapan.
No. 2 Wall 65, No. 5 Howell 49
Junior Navin Tu scored 14 of his team-high 16 points in the second half and most of Wall’s 25 bench points as the Crimson Knights (12-0, 6-0) handled the Rebels (9-3, 4-2) for the second time this year, strengthening their grip on first place in the Class A Central standings while extending their unbeaten streak to 12.
Tu also grabbed eight rebounds, while senior teammate Dan Hennessy led the starters with 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists, including seven points during a 10-2 start to the game for Wall. Senior Brian McKenna added 12 points and classmate Liam Killea scored all eight of his points in the first half before sitting out the second half after taking a hard fall on the final shot of the first half, which dropped to give Wall a 31-21 lead at the break.
Junior Eddie Garcia poured in a game-high 17 points to lead Howell, while junior Jayson Parker added 12 points, five rebounds and three assists and senior Cayden Parker threw in 10 points and three assists for the Rebels.
Middletown South 68, St. John Vianney 56
Freshman Ryan Gannon started and finished strong during a 21-point performance that sparked the Eagles (10-5, 4-2) to a road win over the Lancers (4-12, 1-5). Gannon opened the game with eight points in the first quarter and poured in nine in the fourth, including a 5-for-6 effort from the free-throw line to help Middletown South close out the victory.
Senior Beckett Oliver scored eight of his 15 points in the first quarter and freshman Evan Wells poured in nine for Middletown South. Junior Nicky Mejia scored 18 points to lead St. John Vianney, including 12 points on four three-pointers during the first quarter.
Class B North
Colts Neck 53, Ranney 50
Senior Dillon Younger scored 14 of his 23 points in the first half and the Cougars (9-4, 4-2) survived a second-half push from the Panthers (6-7, 3-3) to avenge an early-January loss to Ranney and bounce back from Tuesday’s five-point home loss to Red Bank Catholic.
Sophomore Nate Sloane added 18 points for Colts Neck, which led, 29-18, at halftime before Ranney surged back with a 21-14 third quarter. Junior Andrew Mardahaev scored 10 of his team-high 13 points in the third quarter, while classmates Ben Schaeffer and Alex Heyser each chipped in 11 points to lead Ranney.
Middletown North 54, Freehold Boro 47
Senior Eddie Lopez led a balanced offense with 12 points and also grabbed seven rebounds while blocking two shots to pace the Lions (4-10, 1-5) to a win over the Colonials (6-8, 1-5).
Junior Steven Huynh and freshman Branden Estrada each added 11 points and three assists, while freshman Nick DiGiovanni threw in nine points for Middletown North. Senior Mike Cush led Freehold Boro with a game-high 22 points.
No. 8 Marlboro 61, No. 4 Red Bank Catholic 58
Junior Dylan McEwan scored a game-high 24 points, including six in overtime to help the Mustangs (11-3, 4-2) reach the finish line in a crucial divisional win over the Caseys (11-4, 5-1), who suffered their first loss in Class B North play.
McEwan’s drive to the basket with under a minute to go in overtime proved to be the deciding basket, which gave Marlboro a 59-55 lead. RBC stayed alive with a three-pointer by junior Gavin Biasi with 11 seconds left and Marlboro junior Nolan Gong connected on two free throws to push the lead to 61-58. Marlboro held firm on defense and avenged a one-point loss to the Caseys earlier in the month.
Gong scored nine of his 12 points during the fourth quarter and overtime and also handed out four assists. Senior Ajay Mathews added 13 points and seven assists and senior Drew Lubeck posted eight points and seven rebounds before fouling out with eight seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Biasi led RBC with 21 points and hit two game-tying free throws to tie the game, 51-51, with eight seconds left in the fourth quarter. Junior Tyler Hager then blocked a drive to the basket as time expired to move the game into overtime.
Senior James Hankowski poured in 16 points and both Hager and fellow junior Ryder Ciorciari chipped in nine apiece for Red Bank Catholic.
Class B Central
Ocean 46, Monmouth 44
Senior Aidan Saint Louis scored a game-high 15 points and the Spartans (9-7, 5-1) pulled out a close road win over the Falcons (9-4, 3-2) that moves Ocean into sole possession of first place in the Class B Central division.
Freshman Omar Ayyash added 13 points and twin brother Ahmad Ayyash chipped in seven points and 10 rebounds for Ocean. Senior Ahmir Wiggins matched Saint Louis with 15 points to lead Monmouth, while juniors Logan Conrade and Javon Bowles each netted 10 in the loss.
Raritan 64, Matawan 62
Senior Ian Mullan scored 19 points to go with three steals and the Rockets (5-8, 2-4) erased an eight-point lead with under four minutes to go for a comeback win over the Huskies (6-9, 4-2) at home.
Senior Anthony Fazioli added 16 points and junior Eric Berg pitched in 11 points, three assists and five steals for Raritan, which rattled off a 15-2 run that flipped the score from 57-49 in favor of Matawan with 3:40 to go to 64-59. Senior Colin Reitmann hit a three-pointer with two seconds left to cap the scoring for Matawan and Raritan successfully inbounded the ball to run out the clock.
Senior Connor Lee also made his mark for Raritan with seven points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Class B South
Toms River North 55, Point Boro 52
Junior Wes Tanner put up 13 points, six rebounds and four assists to lead a balanced effort that powered the Mariners (5-10, 2-4) to a win over the Panthers (8-6, 4-2), snapping Toms River North’s second four-game losing streak of the season.
Sophomore Jake Greenberg added 12 points for Toms River North, which seized control with a 19-10 second-quarter advantage and never relinquished the lead. Senior Bryce Kazanowsky chipped in 10 points and six rebounds and junior Logan Brill contributed seven points and eight rebounds for Toms River North.
Senior Jovin Steinmetz scored 14 points, junior Landon Hoyle added 13 and junior Hunter Hynes netted 12 for Point Boro.
Class C North
Henry Hudson 65, Asbury Park 42
Junior JoJo Newell carried the scoring load with 31 points and the Admirals (10-4, 4-1) rolled to a win over the Blue Bishops (0-11, 0-5). Junior Blakely Smith added 10 points for Henry Hudson.
Senior Ny’John Kirkpatrick scored 21 points and Camerson Berardesco added 12 to lead Asbury Park.
Shore 61, Keyport 48
Senior Ryan Barham scored 17 points and brother Andrew Barham added 16 to lead the Blue Devils (10-4, 5-0) to a win over the Red Raiders (7-7, 2-3). Senior Finn Watson also poured in 14 for Shore, which remained unbeaten in divisional play.
Senior Kai Arrington scored 19 points and senior Jermaine Bardon added 12 to lead Keyport.
Class C South
Brick 53, Pinelands 51
Junior Sean Nausedas posted his fourth straight double-double and hit the tie-breaking shot with 14 seconds left to lift the Green Dragons (5-10, 4-1) over the Wildcats (9-3, 4-1), snapping a five-game winning streak by Pinelands and moving Brick into a first-place tie with the Wildcats in the Class C South standings.
Nausedas finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, fellow junior Jamel Pitts poured in 16 points for Brick, and sophomore Jalen Johnson contributed eight assists and six steals to go with his five points in the win.
Junior Donny Johnston scored 13 points and classmate Tyler Garcia added 11 to lead Pinelands. Senior Josh Barongo and juniors Cayden Lucas and Chris Husni all scored eight points apiece in the loss.
Non-Division
Brick Memorial 59, Donovan Catholic 49
Senior Nyzier Mathews came up a rebound shy of a 22-point double-double and classmate Sean Collins delivered a 20-point double-double in leading the Mustangs (9-7) over the Griffins (5-7).
Mathews grabbed nine rebounds to go with his game-high point total while Collins hauled in 13 rebounds. Senior Jason Lajara also chipped in eight points and eight assists for Brick Memorial.
Senior Pat Gallo scored 15 points to lead Donovan Catholic, with freshman Gerard Gallo adding 10 and sophomore T.J. Hunter nine in the loss.
Non-Conference
Keansburg 58, Newark Vocational 39
Senior Jaivon Thomas-Conklin scored a game-high 18 points, picked off four steals and dominated the paint with 20 rebounds and a pair of blocks to spark the Titans (7-5) to a win over Newark Vocational (5-9).
Sophomore Taurian Black added 14 points and three steals for Keansburg.
