Junior Joseph Whitehouse’s hat trick helped Rumson-Fair Haven (2-0) run away from Ridge Road rival Red Bank (0-1).
Freshman Teddy Whitehouse added two goals and three assists while senior Grayson Goldin finished with two goals and two assists and junior Luke Lydon recorded two goals and one assist. Seven other players scored for the Bulldogs, including junior Blake Ahmann, who also tallied three assists. Sophomore Peter Kessler finished with seven saves in goal.
For Red Bank, juniors Nathan Pelensky and Ryan Deverin and sophomore Justin Valentino each scored once.

Junior attackman Finn Buchan came out of the gates firing with a career-high nine points on five goals and four assists to power the Hornets to a season-opening win over the Caseys (0-2).
Sophomore attackman David Perrotti added two goals and two assists and senior attackman Brian Volpe and sophomore midfielder Ryan Pescatore notched two goals and one assist each. Senior face-off specialist Jack Powers went 17-for-19 at the X and also scored a goal, while junior goalie Jack Tiller made 11 saves. Sophomore attackman James Esposito scored his first varsity goal and freshman midfielder Anthony Serini had an assist in his high school debut.
Sophomore midfielders Jake Bickerton and Joe Egan each scored once and senior goalie Julian Littman made 12 saves for RBC.
