NJSIAA Tournament Semifinal Round
North Jersey 2 Group 3

The Eagles (11-8) fell to the Cougars (15-3-1) despite a valiant offensive effort. Senior forward Bea Tinoco scored two goals. Sophomore Riley Kapler and freshman Delaney Finnegan each added a goal.
Central Jersey Group 4
(1) Manalapan 3, (4) Hillsborough 0
Senior forward Olivia Ziobro scored two goals as the Braves (20-0) stormed past the Raiders (9-11-1) to advance to the sectional final. Senior midfielder Devan Rosenzweig scored a goal. Junior Kayla Sasso tallied two assists. Senior midfielder Daniella Butash tallied an assist.
Manalapan will host sixth-seeded Freehold Township in the sectional final on Saturday.
(6) Freehold Township 2, (2) Howell 1 (Freehold Township advances on penalty kicks, 4-3)
The Patriots (9-10-2) prevailed over the Rebels (16-5) in penalty kicks and avenged a 5-1 defeat from earlier this season. Howell struck first as sophomore Isabella Farinick found freshman Alyssa Skierski on a cross which was headed in for a 1-0 lead in the first half. Freehold Township struck back in the second half when freshman Morgan Notaro struck true on a goal from 30 out off a pass from freshman Barbara Tzortzinakis.
Freehold Township will travel to top-seeded Manalapan in the sectional final on Saturday.

Central Jersey Group 2
(2) Point Boro 3, (6) Wall 2 (Point Boro advances on penalty kicks, 3-1)
Junior goalie Stella Stevenson saved two penalty kicks as the Panthers (15-3) survived a battle with the Crimson Knights (11-9-1). Senior forward Elise Viggiano scored a first half goal to put the Panthers up 1-0 at halftime. Viggianon would add a second goal on a penalty kick after sophomore Grace Tansey drew contact in the box. Wall would battle back as freshman Gemma Brett and senior Sophia Koepping would each score a goal in the final 12 minutes of regulation.
Central Jersey Group 1
(6) Shore 3, (15) Delaware Valley 0
The Blue Devils (14-7) shut down the Terriers (6-14) to advance to the sectional final. The senior trio of Ava Coyle, Jenna Eichenbaum, and Tori Spadavecchia each scored a goal and assisted on another. Freshman goalie Sydney Tilton saved five shots in the shutout victory.
Shore will host ninth-seeded Point Beach in the sectional final on Saturday. The Blue Devils lost to the Garnet Gulls in last year’s sectional semifinals, 4-0.
(9) Point Beach 6, (5) Brearley 0
Senior Baileigh Johnson erupted with a hat trick and two assists to lead the Garnet Gulls (10-11) past the Bears (8-12-1) and into the sectional final. Senior Ellie Loffreno, junior Katie Kirchner, and sophomore Nikki Meyer each added a goal and an assist. Sophomore goalie Alex Kuzloski saved 10 shots in the win.
Point Beach will travel to sixth-seeded Shore in the sectional final on Saturday. The Garnet Gulls defeated the Blue Devils in last year’s sectional semifinals, 4-0.
South Jersey Group 4
(1) Central 1, (4) Egg Harbor 0
Sophomore midfielder Ava Bozinis scored the game’s only goal as the Golden Eagles (18-1-1) used suffocating defense to shut down the Eagles (18-2). Sophomore goalie Addison Frulio made four saves including a spectacular save at the 35 minute mark to preserve the shutout. Sophomore goalie Gianna Lawrence also made a save. Central was the only team to hold Egg Harbor scoreless this season.
Central will host third-seeded Cherokee in the sectional final.
South Jersey Group 3
(1) Shawnee 1, (5) Toms River South 0
A second half goal from sophomore Abby Sallade off a pass from junior Julia Ford led the Renegades (19-2) past the Indians (12-6-2). Toms River South battled against the top seed as sophomore goalie Reese Lindemann recorded seven saves in defeat.
The sky is the limit for the Indians next year as they graduate just one senior in Kate Williams.
