Shore stars sign with Division I programs during early signing period
Several of the Shore Conference’s top seniors officially signed with their future college homes on Wednesday during the opening day of the early signing period.
The top commits included Toms River North offensive lineman Jaelyne Matthews, Donovan Catholic RB/WR Michael Thomas III and Matawan offensive lineman Jayden Elijah, who all signed with Rutgers.
Barnegat linebacker Cole Toddings, the program’s all-time leading tackler, signed with Colgate, and so did Manasquan offensive lineman Adam Murphy. Pinelands offensive lineman Jayden Hadzovic is headed to the Ivy League after signing with Princeton, and Thomas’ Donovan Catholic teammate, offensive lineman James Aldrich, signed with Wagner.
