Silvio Pessoa scored in the 31st minute and assisted a goal by sophomore Bryan Barbosa four minutes later, which proved to be all the scoring required for the Blue Devils (12-6-1) to take down the Green Wave (14-4-1).

Senior Thomas Silva scored Long Branch’s lone goal in the first half.

Toms River South 3, Freehold Boro 1

Shane Gambarony scored two goals and assisted another by fellow senior Karsin Migliori as the Indians (13-4-2) rode three first-half goals to a win over the Colonials (10-11). Colbert Torres and Liam Browne each assisted a goal by Gambarony.

Humberto Hernandez broke up the shutout with Freehold Boro’s goal in the second half.

Chris DeMarco scored in the first half and the Spartans (12-7) made that lone goal stand up in a shutout win over the Patriots (12-9-1).

No. 1 CBA 5, No. 6 Freehold Twp. 1

James Brady and Will Dreschler scored a minute apart in the first 10 minutes of the game and fellow senior Ryan Asadi added two goals in the second half to spark the Colts (14-2-4) to a win over the Patriots (12-8-1).

Nick Silva also scored a first-half goal in the 28th minute to give CBA a 3-0 lead. Gino Castaneda got Freehold Township on the board with a goal in the 50th minute before Asadi answered with the first of his two goals in the 64th.

No. 2 Colts Neck 2, No. 8 Manasquan 0

Freshman Leo Shatku scored his second goal and Sean Moore struck for his 24th goal of the season as the Cougars (16-2) and goalkeeper Liam Collura blanked the Warriors (11-7) on the road.

Shatku settled a clearance and after a touch, slammed a 25-yard strike under the crossbar for a 1-0 Colts Neck lead in the first half. Moore added the insurance goal in the second by ripping a 30-yard strike into the goal off a set-up from Ben Kazani.
