Senior Marvin Oyuela kicked off a four-goal first half by Long Branch with a goal in the 44th minute and assisted a goal by classmate Brandon Mendoza 12 mniutes later to help the Green Wave (3-0-1) pull away with a win over the Bucs (1-4-1).
Senior Andre Rodas assisted Mendoza’s go-ahead goal in the fourth minute of the second half, with Mendoza scoring in the 56th to make it 2-0. Senior Thomas Silva converted a pass from senior Emilio Tepepa-Morales in the 76th and senior Chris De Oliveira Santos came right back with a goal in the 77th to cap the scoring.

Point Beach 2, Barnegat 1
Sophomore Jack Morgan and junior Brody Powers scored goals within four minutes of one another in the middle of the first half and the Garnet Gulls (4-0) hung on for a road win over the Bengals (2-3) that extended their season-opening winning streak to four.
Morgan opened the scoring in the 19th inning and Powers added what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 23. Senior Riley Stolte cut the Barnegat deficit on a goal with 23 seconds left in the half, but Point Beach and senior goalkeeper Bennett Moberg kept Barnegat off the board in the final 40 minutes.
