Group 1
Neptune 2, Howell 1
Senior Harin Gutierrez Moreno scored the tie-breaking goal in the 60th minute and the Scarlet Fliers (3-6) held on to beat the Rebels (2-8-1) and keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the Shore Conference Tournament.
Gutierrez Moreno kicked off the scoring as well with a goal in the second minute of action. Junior Dominic O’Neill and Tevenerri Verdieu provided the assists on the two goals by Gutierrez Moreno.
Junior Andrew Holmes delivered the equalizer for Howell in the 28th minute.
Group 2
No. 2 Colts Neck 8, Monmouth 0
Senior C.J. Collins and junior Sean Moore each posted a brace and Collins also added an assist as the Cougars (8-1) coasted to a win over the Falcons (3-9) that keeps Colts Neck perfect in SCT group play.
Senior Gabe Kruglyanski also scored a goal to go with two assists, while senior Ben Kazani, freshman Leo Shatku and senior Trey Riehl each added a goal for Colts Neck.
Group 5
No. 5 Holmdel 4, Ranney 0
Junior Lucas Nobrega assisted a goal by senior Dom Poli, then scored a goal in each half as the Hornets (6-3-1) snapped a nine-game winning streak by the Panthers (9-2) while also clinching a first-round bye in the Shore Conference Tournament by finishing first in the Group 5 standings.
Senior Nate Koenig opened the scoring in the 23rd minute off a long feed from Poli, which came less than a minute after a potential goal by Ranney freshman Miles Serrapica was disallowed due to an offsides call. Poli then made it 2-0 by slamming in a diagonal ball from Nobrega in the 28th.
Nobrega buried a shot from the top of the 18-yard box with 1:09 left in the first half off a pass back from sophomore Dylan Grimaldi. Nobrega then buried another 18-yard strike in the third minute of the second half, which came off a set-up from Poli.
Holmdel junior goalkeeper Ryan Frigiola earned the shutout with two saves, including one to stop a breakaway by Ranney leading scorer Eddie Magherini (17 goales) in the 10th minute. Magherini also slammed a shot off the intersection of the post and crossbar with the score still 1-0 in the first half.

No. 6 Manalapan 6, Freehold Boro 0
Senior Ethan Lustig rolled up a hat trick and the Braves (5-3-2) secured a first-round bye in the Shore Conference Tournament by handling the Colonials (4-7). Senior Dan Altman scored on a penalty kick, while senior Edoardo Russo and freshman Michael Schrader each added a goal. Schrader’s was the first of his varsity career.

Sophomore Evan Hajeski scored two goals and junior Brody Powers dished out three assists to go with a goal of his own as the Garnet Gulls (8-3) erupted for five first-half goals before holding off a second-half push by the Griffins (1-8).
Powers assisted Hajeski for the first goal of the game, then set up goals by senior Dylan Ryan and junior Landon Hoberman for a 3-0 lead before extending the lead to 4-0 in the first half off a pass from sophomore Max Ramirez.
