Middletown South 4, Howell 0
Senior Luke Strada posted his first career hat trick and the Eagles (7-3-1) soared to a win over the Rebels (2-9-1) to close out a perfect group-stage performance. Junior Connor Saul scored the other goal for Middletown South.
Lacey 6, Neptune 1
Senior Tanner Grozinski scored the first goal of the game in the 10th minute and assisted three more Lacey goals as the Lions (7-5) upended the Scarlet Fliers (3-7) to secure second place in Group 1.
Grozinski assisted the second Lacey goal, which junior Will Reid finished in the 20th minute after Grozinski sent a ball into the box. Senior Aiden Schmitt slammed in a penalty kick in the 34th to extend the Lions lead to 3-0 before halftime.
Senior Noah Riley starred in the second half with an assist on senior Anthony Introna’s goal in the 44th minute, then scored a pair of goals five minutes apart — both off assists from Grozinski — to cap the scoring.
Group 2
Colts Neck 5, Shore 1
Junior Sean Moore matched a career high with four goals and the Cougars (9-1) responded to conceding the first goal by rolling through the Blue Devils (6-5-1) and winning first place in Group 2.
Senior Cooper Attaway followed up his Saturday second-half hat trick vs. Brick by scoring the first goal Monday, which came off an assist from sophomore Bryan Barbosa in the second minute. Colts Neck responded four minutes later on a goal by senior C.J. Collins off the first of two assists by classmate Gabe Kruglyanski.
Moore then took over with four unanswered goals — a scoring explosion that ran his season goal total to 15. Seniors Ben Kazani assisted two of the goals by Moore, with Kruglyanski and senior Nate Calhoun also assisting one each.
Freehold Twp. 3, Monmouth 0
Senior Alex Rivera scored the lone goal of the first half off a pass from classmate Jake Weiss, then set up a goal by senior Caine Massey in the second half to lead the Patriots (7-4-1) to a win over the Falcons (3-11) that clinches them second place in Group 2.
Sophomore Jack Manfredonia capped the scoring off a pass from senior Gabe Bormolini. Sophomore Giuseppe Romano stopped two shots to earn the shutout in goal.
Group 3
Barnegat 2, Manchester 1
Seniors Ethan Yllanes and Riley Stolte each scored a goal in the first half and senior goalkeeper Donovan Paul (13 saves) came through with a strong second-half performance that turned back the Hawks (5-7) and earned the Bengals (7-5) the third-place spot in the SCT out of Group 3. Barnegat is back in the SCT for the first time since 2019.
Senior Andrew Rosenthal scored a first-half goal off an assist from classmate Brayden Kurak for the lone Manchester goal.
CBA 3, Toms River East 2 (OT)
Junior John Little scored the game-tying goal in the 71st minute, then scored the golden goal in the 15th minute of overtime to complete a come-from-behind win for the Colts (10-1-3) over the Raiders (10-3). The victory clinches CBA first place in the group, with Toms River East settling for second.
Little headed in a cross from junior Justian Arias to level the score in the final 10 minutes and in the 95th, the junior took a pass from senior James Brady on a quick restart, found daylight and delivered the finish to end the game.
CBA jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute, with senior Finn McCarthy heading in a corner kick by sophomore Joe Guastella.
Toms River East surged ahead with two goals in the first 10 minutes of the first half. Junior Samuel Los tied it, 1-1, in the 44th minute by pouncing on a defensive miscue by CBA and grabbed the lead when junior Malcolm Smith knocked in a cross in the 49th.
Group 4
Rumson-Fair Haven 1, Central 0
Senior Bobby Quaglia converted the game-winning penalty kick in the 71st minute after a hand ball in the box and the Bulldogs (6-3-3) hung on to beat the Golden Eagles (5-5) and secure a first-round bye in the SCT with a first-place finish.
Senior goalkeeper Jack Del Priore extended for a save in the middle of the second half to keep the score 0-0 and set up the late game-winner for Rumson that secure him the shutout.
Middletown North 2, Donovan Catholic 2
Seniors Paul Que and Alex Watts each scored first-half goals and the Lions (3-8-2) made it to the end of two overtimes tied with the Griffins (1-8-1), sending Middletown North to the SCT over Donovan Catholic by virtue of goal differential, minus-1 to minus-5.
Group 5
Jackson 3, Holmdel 2 (OT)
Sophomore Anthony Materia tracked down a punt from senior goalkeeper Logan Schlenk and scored the golden goal in the ninth minute of overtime to complete an upset win for the Jaguars (8-7-1) over the Hornets (6-4-1).
Senior Connor Schlenk powered Jackson to a 2-0 lead in the first half by connecting on a direct kick for a goal in the 20th minute, then assisting a goal by fellow senior Callan Granito in the 37th.
Holmdel rallied with a pair of goals by sophomore Logan Grimaldi, who broke up the clean sheet in the 44th minute and leveled the scored with a goal in the 73rd.
Ocean 3, Ranney 2 (OT)
Senior Brandon Cosentino scored three goals on three assists by junior Nic Critelli, capped by a golden-goal header on a Critello corner kick to deliver the Spartans (8-4) a win over the Panthers (9-3) to take second place in Group 5.
Cosentino scored a goal in each half off passes from Critelli to stake Ocean to a 2-0 lead.
Ranney rallied from a 2-0 deficit with a goal by Braden Morin off an assist from Eddie Magherini, followed by Morin assisting an equalizer by senior Tylor Yang.
Group 6
Manalapan 6, Lakewood 1
Ethan Lustig scored a hat trick, Edoardo Russo posted two goals and two assists and Dan Altman dealt out three assists as the senior trio led the Braves (6-3-2) over the Piners (1-10) for a Senior-Night win. Junior Ryan Seybuck scored the other Manalapan goal.
Group 7
St. John Vianney 2, Asbury Park 1
Senior Mason Boles tied the game with a goal in the 69th minute and classmate Alex Siniscalchi won it with the go-ahead goal a minute later as the Lancers (4-4-4) rallied from a one-goal deficit to top the Blue Bishops (7-4-1) and clinch a third-place spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.
A little more than a minute after Boles tied the game, Siniscalchi dribbled toward the top of the 18-yard box, pulled up from 21 yards out and buried an upper-90 strike to the top right corner of the goal.
Sophomore Chris Torres delivered Asbury Park the lead with a goal in the 37th minute and the Blue Bishops held it until the final 11 minutes.
Group 8
Southern 3, Long Branch 1
Senior Brody Nacarlo scored two goals in the first half and senior Caden Schweigart added an insurance tally in the second half as the Rams (8-4-1) bounced back from an early 1-0 deficit to beat the Green Wave (8-2-1) and claim the top spot in Group 8 along with the first-round bye.
Senior Nick Leiriao assisted two of the goals, the first of which was a touch on a free kick that Nacarlo buried inside the near left post. Nacarlo made it 2-1 in the 25th minute by stealing a pass in the Long Branch defensive third and slipping it past goalkeeper Gerardo Rodas.
Schweigart ran down a long pass from Leiriao and knocked it in in the 55th to cap the scoring for Southern.
Senior Chris De Oliveira Santos staked Long Branch to a 1-0 lead in the opening five minutes off an assist from junior Matheus Lopez.
Brick Memorial 2, Wall 0
Senior Paul DiRosa opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes of the second half and junior Nate Stryker added an insurance goal in the final 10 as the Mustangs (10-4) beat the Crimson Knights (5-7) and qualified for the Shore Conference Tournament on the strength of the head-to-head result thanks to Red Bank Catholic’s tie with Pinelands.

Freehold Boro 4, Raritan 0
Senior Joe Haney scored two goals and assisted another by junior Humberto Hernandez in a span of five minutes in the second half and the Colonials (5-7, 2-3) buried the Rockets (3-8-1, 1-4-0) to snap a six-game losing streak.
Junior Aidan Fung volleyed in a cross from senior Kristian Jaku in the third minute for a 1-0 Freehold Boro lead and the Colonials sat on the one-goal advantage until the midway point of the second half.
In the 61st minute, Haney beat a swarm of players to a loose ball in the box for a goal and a 2-0 lead, then made it a brace in the 65th by knocking in a throw-in from sophomore Max Golkov for a 3-0 Freehold lead.
A minute after scoring his second goal, Haney ran down a long pass near the end-line and cross the ball to Hernandez, who slotted in a 12-yard shot that capped the scoring.
Non-Division
Matawan 3, New Egypt 1
Junior Ergi Gjino scored a goal and assisted another to pace the Huskies (5-9) to a win over the Warriors (3-8). Junior Sean Hart and senior Sean Sobicinski scored the other two goals by Matawan.
Toms River South 2, Red Bank 1 (OT)
Senior Jimmy Aguilar Ochoa scored the golden goal with under two minutes to go in the second overtime period and the Indians (10-1-1) rallied to beat the Bucs (4-8-1) for their ninth straight win.
Senior Jacob Myers tied the game for Toms River South in the 54th minute by knocking in a ball sent into the box by senior Shane Gambarony. In the 19th minute of overtime, senior Owen Beneciuk found Aguilar Ochoa for the game-winner.
Red Bank grabbed a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute on a goal by junior Brandon Garcia.
Non-Conference
Keyport 6, Calvary Academy 1
Senior Justin Vissagio scored a pair of goals and assisted another to lead the Red Raiders (5-5) over Calvary Academy (5-5). Senior John Covert scored a goal and dished out two assists, while junior Eliel Tlapa, senior Diego Rocha and senior Colin Woodruff each added a goal for Keyport.
