Shore Conference Tournament Championship

(1) Rumson-Fair Haven 15, (2) Manasquan 14 (OT)

Junior midfielder Joseph Whitehouse scored the game-winning goal with 2:05 left in overtime to complete an epic comeback as Rumson-Fair Haven rallied from a three-goal deficit with five minutes left to stun Manasquan and win the 2025 Shore Conference Tournament championship.

Trailing 14-11 in the latter stages of the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs received goals from Whitehouse and freshman midfielder Liam Haggerty to pull within a goal with 3:21 left. Senior midfielder Grayson Goldin tied the score at 14 with 2:28 left in regulation.

The SCT title is the conference-leading 10th for Rumson and fourth in the last five years.

Junior attackman Luke Lydon scored a team-high four goals while Joseph Whitehouse, freshman attackman Teddy Whitehouse, senior midfielder Britt Lumsden, and junior attackman Blake Ahmann each scored twice. Goldin, Haggerty, and sophomore LSM John Paik scored one goal apiece.

Senior attackman Brandon Kunz had an incredible game for Manasquan with a game-high seven goals. Senior midfielder Matthew Schneider and senior attackman Ryan Aldi each scored twice, senior defenseman Parker Harms, junior midfielder Lucas Longo and sophomore attackman Kieran Schneider each scored once.

No. 10 Howell 16, Lacey 8

Senior midfielder Nicholas Turturro registered 4 goals and 4 assists and senior midfielder Vincent Meehan added 4 goals and 1 assist as the Rebels (13-3) topped the Lions (12-4). Juniors Mike Kelly and Cole Reinsdorf both scored 2 goals and tallied 1 assist. Senior attacker Jayden Devino added a goal and an assist. Senior defenders Tristan DeLucia and Colin Finnegan as well as junior midfielder Anthony LaBruzzo each scored a goal. Senior goalie Adam Baker recorded 10 saves in the victory for the Rebels.

 

Manalapan 14, Marlboro 4

Senior Matt Avivi netted 4 goals and tallied an assist as the Braves (10-9) defeated the Mustangs (10-6). Avivi surpassed 100 goals for his career finishing the day at 102. Senior Jake Piedrahita netted his first career hat trick. Senior Anthony Tufte added 2 goals and 2 assists. Sophomore Eli Greenberg scored 2 goals. Senior Jake Schatz registered a goal and 2 assists. Senior John Delaney scored a goal and senior Scott Hill tallied an assist. Junior goalie Connor Doel recorded 9 saves in the win.

 

Nonconference

Kingsway 6, Southern 5

The Rams (12-5) battled, but were ultimately edged out by the undefeated Dragons (17-0), a South Jersey power. Sophomore Kyle Sininsky scored 2 goals and distributed 2 assists in the loss. Senior Joe Kessler scored 2 goals and tallied 1 assist. Sophomore Shea O’Donnell added a goal. Freshman Niko Iliescu tallied 2 assists. Sophomore goalie Nick Hughes recorded 12 saves. A potential rematch could be on the horizon as Kingsway is currently ranked 1st and Southern 2nd in power points within South Jersey Group 4.
