Freedom Division

 

Freehold Township 13, St. Rose 2

Freehold Township (7-1, 5-0) cruised past St. Rose (2-4, 1-4) behind 4 goals and 1 assist from junior Gianna Neron and 3 goals and 1 assist from Alyssa Costagliola. Senior Chloe Walters added 2 goals and 2 assists while freshman Addison Freyre added 2 goals and 1 assist. Senior Abbi Lemberger sank 1 goal and distributed 2 assists while sophomore Alex Caissie added a goal in the win for the Patriots.

Seniors Emma Rogers and Maura Kerr each scored a goal in the loss for the Purple Roses. Junior Stephanie Vitale tallied 1 assist.

 

Howell 20, Brick 9

Howell (5-3, 3-2) rolled past Brick (4-3, 3-1) behind stellar offensive performances from senior Isabella Acevedo-Feldman and junior Kendall Bleakley. Acevedo-Feldman sank 8 shots and distributed 5 assists. She moved past the 200 goal mark for her career finishing the day at 204 career goals. Bleakley scored a career-high 6 goals and tallied 3 assists. Senior Sophia Schwark added 3 goals and 3 assists. Sophomore Madison Wilkes scored a career-high 2 goals and 1 assist. Junior Ava Brandt added 1 goal and 1 assist while sophomore Madison Vigliotti added 1 goal in the win for the Rebels.

 

Independence Division

New Egypt 12, Pinelands 4

Junior Madison Adam scored 6 goals and 3 assists to guide New Egypt (6-0, 6-0) past Pinelands (2-3, 1-3). Adam also recovered 9 ground balls, won 8 draw controls, and forced 5 turnovers in a well-rounded performance. Junior Aimee Kovacs added a hat trick with 3 goals and 1 assist. Senior Kelly Thoens scored 2 goals while freshman Lucia Sloan scored 1 goal. Freshman goalie Corinne Ring turned back 6 shots in the win for the Warriors.

 

Long Branch 7, Monmouth 6 (OT)

A 3 goal and 1 assist performance from senior Romina Revelo along with an 8 save performance from senior goalie Katherine Perez-Mora lifted Long Branch (3-5, 2-4) past Monmouth (4-5, 2-3) in a thriller. Senior Roselin Reyes-Lopez added 2 goals while junior Luiza De Oliveira added 1 goal and 3 assists as junior Ashley Martinez-Garcia added 1 goal. Junior Emily Lopez Cota tallied 1 assist in the win for the Green Wave.

Senior Christina Ensaur scored 2 goals in the loss for the Falcons. Senior goalie Mareli Ocelotl recorded 6 saves. Seniors Madison Natale, Michaela Demeo and Jenna Chlapowski as well as junior Ava Diedrichsen each scored 1 goal.

 

Neptune 11, Jackson Liberty 0

Senior Charlie Curto scored 3 goals and distributed 1 assist to lead Neptune (3-6, 2-3) to a convincing win over Jackson Liberty (0-7, 0-5). Sophomore trio Claire Browning, Stella Curto, and Jessica Jimenez each sank 2 shots. Senior Mairelys Ramirez Montoya added 1 goal and 2 assists while senior Eva Sims added 1 goal and 1 assist. Junior Ellie Gomez tallied an assist. Neptune dominated possession to the point that goalie Elizabeth Wisner only recorded 1 save in the shutout victory.

 

Nondivisional

No. 5 Middletown South 18, Wall 3

Junior Anna Stumberger erupted for 6 goals and 2 assists and senior Caroline Bedetti scored 5 goals to help Middletown South (7-2) race past Wall (2-7). Bedetti’s 5th goal of the day gave her 100 total goals for her career. Sophomore Hayley Jamison notched a hat trick with 3 goals and 2 assists. Sophomore Alexis Marquis added 2 goals. Junior Abigail Gallagher and freshman Ashley Penn each scored 1 goal and tallied 2 assists. Senior goalie Anna Weise had another strong day in the net with 9 saves in the win for the Eagles.

Junior Hannah Leete scored 2 goals and senior Mia Litterio added 1 goal in the loss for the Crimson Knights.

 

 

Nonconference

No. 3 Shore 9, Lenape 6

Senior Gabby O’Brien scored multiple goals for the fifth straight game with a 4 goal and 1 assist performance in a Shore (9-1) victory over Lenape (1-4). Sophomore Marielle Montenegro sank 2 shots and distributed 1 assist. Sophomore Ava Matthews scored 1 goal and tallied 1 assist while seniors Kendall Bennett and Jasmin Okuszka each scored 1 goal. Senior Teagan Harmon tallied an assist. Lenape’s offense kept Shore’s defense busy, but senior goalie Sofia Merten was up to the challenge as she recorded 11 saves in the win for the Blue Devils.
