Quarterfinals

(2) Southern 14, (7) Williamstown 2

Senior midfielder Delaney Falk registered 5 goals and 2 assists as the Rams (12-6) cruised past the Braves (10-9) to advance to the sectional semifinals for the fourth consecutive year. Freshman midfielder Mackenzie Sininsky contributed in every phase of the game as she scored 3 goals, distributed 4 assists, won 10 draw controls, and forced 6 turnovers. Sininsky’s 7 points are a new single game career high. Senior attacker Piper Murray netted a hat trick. Senior attacker Meri Cassidy added 2 goals while senior midfielder Avery Smith added 1 goal. Junior defender Julia Barry forced 4 turnovers. Junior goalie Adyson Griffin saved 4 shots in the win.

Southern will host third-seeded Montgomery on Thursday. One more win has the potential to setup a potential grudge match with top-seeded Cherokee, who has ended the Rams’ season the past three seasons.

(3) Montgomery 20, (6) Manalapan 9

The Braves (11-8) saw their season come to an end at the hands of the Cougars (14-8). Sophomore Aryelle Stein scored 6 goals in the loss. Stein managed to reach her 100th goal on the season on her final goal of the day.

 

North Jersey Group 3

(4) Northern Highlands 10, (5) Middletown South 6

(3) Morris Knolls 18, (6) Red Bank 8

The Bucs (12-7) fell behind 4-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and could never recover as their season came to an end in a loss to the Golden Eagles (13-6). Sophomore defender Rose Lynch scored a career-high 2 goals and 2 assists in the loss. Junior attacker Chloe Keating and junior midfielder Karlie Ruland both scored 2 goals. Junior midfielder Kate Meulener added a goal and an assist. Junior defender Kathleen Deverin scored a goal. Senior Honor Hile tallied an assist. Junior goalie Nora Tavares saved 8 shots.

(1) Moorestown 19, (9) Central 0

Quarterfinals

(3) Manasquan 14, (6) Robbinsville 2

Sophomore Sterling Blum scored 4 first half goals and senior Sophia Evans added 4 second half goals as the Warriors (10-10) defeated the Ravens (10-12) to advance to the sectional semifinals.  After Robbinsville opened the scoring, Manasquan ended the game on a 14-1 run. Sophomore Sarah Sharpe and freshman Chloe Stevens both scored 2 goals while sophomore Dylan Carnahan and freshman Olive O’Reilly added 1 goal apiece for the Warriors. O’Reilly and Stevens both dished out 3 assists.

Manasquan moves on to the sectional semifinals and will travel to second-seeded Cinnaminson on Thursday.

(2) Cinnaminson 16, (7) Lacey 7

The Lions (12-7) fell to the Pirates (16-1). Senior midfielder Zoey Smith netted a hat trick in her final game finishing the season with 117 goals for a career total of 411 goals. Freshman Emily Slota scored a goal and tallied an assist. Seniors Lexi Coon and Mia Sullivan as well as junior Amelia Mazur each scored a goal.

(5) Barnegat 13, (4) Seneca 12

Sophomore Sadie Guiro scored the game-winning goal in the final seconds to lift the Bengals (16-6) to a thrilling victory over the Golden Eagles (9-10) that catapulted them into the sectional semifinals. Seneca stormed back from a 6-goal deficit to tie the game before Guiro’s clutch shot ended the rally. Sophomore Ella Tortorici scored 5 goals and tallied an assist. Junior Lizzie Medina netted a hat trick. Guiro finished with 2 goals and 3 assists. Sophomore Molly Carroll added 2 goals. Senior Emilia Ercolino also scored a goal. Junior goalie Allie Soden saved 14 shots in the win.

Barnegat will travel to top-seeded Allentown on Thursday. The Firebirds were ranked No. 4 in the state according to NJ Advance Media in the most recent poll.

 

South Jersey Group 1

Quarterfinals

(4) Shore 15, (5) Woodstown 11

Senior Gabby O’Brien sank 6 shots to lead the Blue Devils (16-5) past the Wolverines (14-4) into the sectional semifinals. Senior Jasmin Okuszka and sophomore Ava Matthews both netted a hat trick. Seniors Kendall Bennett and Teagan Harmon as well as sophomore Marielle Montenegro each scored a goal.

Shore will travel to top-seeded rival Rumson-Fair Haven on Thursday in the sectional semifinals. The teams have split thus far this season with Shore winning in the regular season and Rumson-Fair Haven getting their revenge in the Shore Conference Tournament.
