Sophomore midfielder Chiara Donahue scored 4 goals and tallied 2 assists as the Monarchs (14-6) defeated the Blue Eagles (8-10) to advance to the non-public state semifinals. Donahue was also very active defensively as she scooped up 5 ground balls and forced 4 turnovers. Senior attacker Bridie Fitzgerald netted a hat trick and assisted on a goal. Sophomore O’Malley Eldridge added 2 goals and 2 assists. Junior defender Winnie Popham had a strong game forcing 4 turnovers. Freshman goalie Anna Pharo saved 7 shots in the win.
Trinity Hall will travel to top-seeded Oak Knoll on Friday in the state semifinals. Oak Knoll is currently ranked 11th in the state overall according to NJ Advance Media.
