Junior Kennedy Poser erupted with 7 goals and 1 assist to guide the Panthers (5-6) past the Argonauts (1-9) in the 1st round of the Prep B Tournament. Juily Nayar added 2 goals while senior Katie Renaud and sophomores Chloe Foster and Alexa Herbst each scored 1 goal.
American Division
No. 2 Trinity Hall 16, No. 3 Shore 7
The Monarchs (7-4, 5-1) turned a 2-goal halftime lead into a 2nd half rout in a win over the Blue Devils (10-4, 3-3). Trinity Hall led 7-5 at halftime before out-scoring Shore 9-2 in the second half. Senior Mary Catherine O’Connor scored 3 goals and 3 assists. Sophomore O’Malley Eldridge added 3 goals and 1 assist. Sophomore Chiara Donahue finished with 3 goals. Freshman Lyla Lu had 2 goals and 2 assists. Senior Bridie Fitzgerald and sophomore Lucy Mallgrave both had 2 goals and 1 assist. Freshman Sarina DeRosa had 1 goal and 1 assist.
Senior Gabby O’Brien and senior Kendall Bennett both had 2 goals in the loss for the Blue Devils.
Independence Division
Long Branch 7, Neptune 5
Seniors Roselin Reyes-Lopez and Romina Revelo both scored 2 goals to lead the Green Wave (4-8, 3-6) past the Scarlet Fliers (3-7, 2-4). Senior Sherline Reyes-Lopez, junior Luiza De Oliveira, and sophomore Brittany Garcia-Mendoza each scored 1 goal. Senior goalie Katherine Perez-Mora recorded 9 saves in the win for the Green Wave.
Senior Jha’nae LeGrande and sophomore Stella Curto both scored 2 goals in the loss for the Scarlet Fliers.
Nondivisional
Brick Memorial 6, Pinelands 5
Junior Charlotte Kampf sank 2 shots and tallied 2 assists to lead the Mustangs (6-4) past the Wildcats (3-5). Kampf surpassed 100 points for her career as she came into the game with 98 career points. Four other Mustangs scored a goal including senior Lyla Gelnaw, junior Emily Cranston, sophomore Lyla Blood, and sophomore Sarah Palmer.
Senior Olivia Nilsen recorded a hat trick in the loss for the Wildcats.
St. John Vianney 15, Monmouth 8
Senior Emma Albano scored 4 goals to lead the Lancers (5-3) in a victory over the Falcons (4-7). Senior Makayla Mitchell, sophomore Adrianna Petriello, and freshman Grace Rispoli each recorded a hat trick. Petriello’s hat trick was the first of her career. Freshman Sienna Hunter also recorded a goal in the win.
Senior Jenna Chlapowski scored a game-high 5 goals in the loss for the Falcons.
