Freshman midfielder Maddie Renna and junior midfielder Elise Viggiano scored in the first 10 minutes and Point Boro’s defense recorded its 15th clean sheet of the season as the Panthers (19-2-2) blanked the Bulldawgs (11-10-2) to reach the first state final in program history.

Viggiano added her second goal in the 46th minute to make it 3-0 and an own goal later in the second half provided the final scoring margin.

The Panthers will face Madison in the Group 2 state final at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Franklin High School. The Dodgers shocked undefeated defending state champion Ramsey in overtime, 2-1.
