Central Jersey Group 4

Second Round

(2) Monroe 49, (7) Freehold Township 43

Trailing 39-36 after three quarters, Monroe outscored Freehold Township 13-4 in the fourth quarter to advance into the semifinal round of CJG4. Junior Madison Sciarrino scored a team-high 14 points and Gaby Parker added 12 points for the Patriots. Kiera Longo scored a game-high 19 points for Monroe.

 

Central Jersey Group 2

Second Round

(1) Manasquan 52, (8) Holmdel 36

After building a 25-17 lead at halftime, Manasquan outscored Holmdel 16-4 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach. Kayden Clark and Jordyn Hollawell both scored 11 points to lead Manasquan. Senior Mackenzie Teevan scored a game-high 16 points in her final game. Manasquan will host Delaware Valley in the semifinal round of CJG3.

(2) Rumson-Fair Haven 73, (7) Johnson 37

Rumson had three players score double-digits to help them advance into the semifinal round of CJG2. Junior Erin Reid posted a double-double with a game-high 18 points and 13 rebounds and Sylve Notine added 14 points to lead the Bulldogs.

(5) Delaware Valley 38, (4) Point Boro 36

Point Boro led Delaware Valley 23-18 at the end of three quarters before being out-scored 20-13 in the final quarter. The Panthers had a half court heave fall short as time expired. Senior Elana Falkenstein scored 16 points to lead the Terriers. Senior Vanessa Haas scored a team-high 16 points in the loss for the Panthers.

(11) Wall 46, (3) Bordentown 24

Wall continues their magical run after they jumped out to a 19-2 lead in the first quarter and continued to build on it to advance into the semifinal round of CJG2. Senior Erynn Richey drained four 3-pointers to score a game-high 18 points and Marisa Amitie added 15 points to lead Wall over No. 3 Bordentown. Wall will travel to play No. 3 Rumson on Wednesday in the CJG2 semifinals.

 

South Jersey Group 4

Second Round

(3) Howell 39, (11) Atlantic Tech 38

Trailing by two points in the closing seconds, Junior BellaRose Marino scored the game tying basket for Howell and drew the foul with 6.8 seconds left. Marino was able to bank in the free throw to give Howell the win after Atlantic Tech missed the shot at the buzzer. Sophomore Kylee Beam scored a game-high 15 points while Marino added 13 points in the win for the Rebels.

 

South Jersey Group 2

Second Round

(7) Manchester 52, (2) Cinnaminson 48

Manchester overcame a slow start to comeback and upset the No. 2 seed Cinnaminson in the second round of SJG2. Trailing 29-14 at halftime, the Hawks outscored Cinnaminson 22-8 in the fourth quarter on the road to advance into the semifinal round where they face No. 3 Haddon Heights. Sophomore Madeline Nolan scored a game-high 19 points and Freshman Jesse Sarana added 16 points for Manchester.

(4) Barnegat 56, (5) Haddonfield 46

Leading 26-22 at halftime, Barnegat opened the game up by outscoring Haddonfield 16-9 in the third quarter to advance into the semifinal round of SJG2. Zemirah Enalls and Emma Thornton continue to be double-double machines with Enalls finishing with 19 points and 20 rebounds and Thornton 10 points and 13 rebounds. Senor Riley Fitzpatrick knocked down three 3-pointers to finish with 12 points for Barnegat. Barnegat will travel to top seeded Middle Township on Wednesday in the semifinal round.

 

South Jersey Non-Public A

Second Round

(2) St. Rose 46, (7) Trinity Hall 44

Jada Lynch scored a game high 18 points, Cassidy Kruesi added 10, as St Rose survived an upset-minded Trinity Hall 46-44 in the quarterfinal round of the South Jersey Non-Public A playoffs.
Trinity Hall got out to a 15-14 lead after the first quarter.  St Rose opened the second quarter on a 10-0 run led by sophomore Callie Decker’s 6 points, before Trinity Hall went on a 7-0 run.  Trinity got as close as 31-30 in the fourth, but couldn’t get over the hump.
Grace Feeney led Trinity with 17, Whitney Hobson added 10.  St. Rose moves on to host RBC in the SJNPA semi-finals on Thursday, a rematch of the classic SCT final won by RBC.

(4) St. John Vianney 69, (5) Bishop Eustace 39

SJV used a hot start, scoring 26 points in the first quarter, to win their second round game  and advance into the semifinals of SJNPA. Junior Madison Kocis drained three 3-pointers to score a career-high 24 points and Stella Lockhart posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Lancers. SJV will travel to No. 1 Paul VI on Thursday.

(3) Red Bank Catholic 67, (6) St. Thomas Aquinas 39

RBC made it look easy in the second round of South Jersey Non-Public A. The Caseys jumped out to a 20-6 lead in the first quarter and outscored STA every quarter. Junior Addy Nyemchek scored a game-high 17 points and Christina Liggio added 15 points for RBC. The Caseys will travel to face No. 2 St. Rose in a rematch of the classic game they had in the Shore Conference Tournament Final.

 

South Jersey Non-Public B

Second Round

(4) Ranney 81, (5) Holy Spirit 64

A triple-pronged scoring attack from Sophomore Ashley Kreiger, Senior Lola MacRae, and Senior Haley Poser led Ranney past Holy Spirit. Kreiger finished with a game-high 26 points and 16 rebounds while MacRae finished with 20 points including six 3-pointers, and Poser finished with 18 points including a perfect 10 for 10 from the free throw line. Ranney will travel to Gloucester Catholic on Thursday in the South Jersey Non-Public B Semifinals.
