Semifinal Round

(5) Neptune 55, (1) Westampton Tech 54

Neptune jumped out to a 30-12 halftime lead on top-seeded Westampton Tech before the Panthers came storming back in the second half to force overtime. The Scarlet Fliers were slightly better on the foul line down the stretch which helped propel them to victory. Freshman Tyeera Howard scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds battling against a much taller Westampton Tech frontline. Senior Christa Ramos added 15 points and 9 rebounds for Neptune while Freshman Bre Evans added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Despite the noticeable size discrepancy, Neptune was only out-rebounded 33-30. Senior Mikalya Taylor finished with a game-high 20 points and Senior Akeelah Lafleur added 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 6 blocks in the loss for Westampton Tech.

(2) Red Bank Regional 37, (6) Middletown South 24

After a slow start by both teams, RBR broke a 11-11 tie at halftime by outscoring Middletown South 16-8 in the third quarter on their way to the CJG3 championship game on Friday. Senior Caroline Polloway scored a game-high 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for the Bucs. Synai Blychanton continues to get stronger since her injury, finishing with 11 points and 8 rebounds for RBR.

 

South Jersey Group 3

Semifinal Round

(1) Cherry Hill West 62, (4) Toms River East 33

The Raiders season comes to an end by top seeded Cherry Hill West. Cherry Hill jumped out to a lead in the first quarter and never looked back, having four players score in double-digits. Senior Grace Crowley, who is committed to Sienna for soccer, ended her career with a team-high 11 points for the Raiders.
