Freshman Clint Martin scored 24 points, grabbed nine rebounds, handed out six assists and nabbed three steals, while senior teammate Luke Lydon drained seven three-pointers in a 22-point performance as the Bulldogs (12-3, 4-1) ran away with a road win over the Purple Roses (1-13, 0-5).
Senior Blake Ahmann added 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists and junior Casey Moore contributed 10 points, five rebounds and three assists for Rumson.
Senior Tyler Cameron led St. Rose with a game-high 26 points to go with 10 rebounds and four assists. Senior O’Rien Campbell added 11 points and three assists in the loss.
Class A Central
No. 2 Wall 77, Manalapan 46
Senior Brian McKenna scored 13 of his game-high 23 points in the second quarter and the Crimson Knights (11-0, 5-0) handled the Braves (4-7, 0-5) to win their 11th straight game to open the season while completing a perfect first turn through the Class A Central division schedule.
McKenna also grabbed nine rebounds and handed out four assists, while senior Dan Hennessy pitched in 13 points, including 10 in the second half. Wall also got a lift from its bench, with junior Navin Tu contributing 11 points, five rebounds and two steals and classmate Donovan Buist throwing in eight points.
Junior Joe Farino scored 13 points and senior Dean Aviles added 11 to lead Manalapan.
