Infinante Sincere-Amen Ra scored a game-high 20 points and the Pirates pulled away from the Warriors in the season-opener for both teams. Sophomore St. Rose transfer Luke Winn led Manasquan with 12 points and senior Jack O’Reilly netted 10 in the loss.

Sophomore Izayah Cooper scored 11 of his 15 points in the first half and CBA’s depth and balance took over in the second half as the Colts raced past the Panthers to pick up their first win under new head coach and former CBA star Brian Lynch.
Cooper was one of six CBA players to score at least nine points, with senior Connor Andree backing him up with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots. Junior David Buley and senior Charlie Messano each chipped in 11 points, with Messano tabbing his 11 points, two assists and three steals off the bench and Buley scoring six straight CBA points during the third quarter while also blocking two shots.
Junior Avery Lynch and sophomore Oymere Rene each added nine points, with Rene scoring all of his points during the second half. Sophomore Connor Marcoullier rounded out the scoring with six points off the bench.
CBA entered the second half tied, 27-27, with Newark Collegiate and outscored the visitors, 27-16, in the third quarter. Rene scored seven of his points in the third, with Buley (six), Messano (five) and Lynch (five) each scoring at least five in the quarter. Newark Collegiate owned the glass throughout the game, but the Colts blocked six shots and forced 14 turnovers to counter.
