Junior Jordan Pierre scored 15 points while pulling down six rebounds and the Scarlet Fliers (5-8) pulled out a home win over the Green Wave (4-10) for their third win in the last four games following a 2-7 start.
Senior Josh Da Cruz also scored a game-high 15 points to lead Long Branch.
Non-Division
Barnegat 55, Lakewood 22
Senior forward Nick Bruno scored a team-high 10 points as the Bengals (6-7) shut down the Piners (1-11). Senior guard Codey Shaffery finished with nine points. Freshman guard Chancellor Joseph added eight points. Senior forward Brady Anderson chipped in six points.
Senior Francisco Guiterrez scored a game-high 11 points in the loss.
Southern 64, Toms River East 37
Senior guard Jake Sliwinski and junior forward Gavin Gerckens each registered a double-double as the Rams (8-5) topped the Raiders (6-7). Sliwinksi finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Gerckens finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. Junior guard Noah Perna added 16 points and six rebounds. Junior guard Josh Brofman chipped in eight points.
Senior center Shamus O’Grady and sophomore forward Tommy Intintola each finished with 10 points in the loss. Sophomore forward Carson Frazier chipped in seven points.
No. 10 Central 45, Matawan 31
Junior Derek Roth posted 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists and the Golden Eagles (9-5) pulled away for a road win over the Huskies (6-8). Sophomore Caden King poured in 15 points and junior Cijier Yates contributed seven points and four assists for Central, which clawed out of a 10-6 hole after the end of the first quarter to grab a 23-21 lead by halftime.
Senior Colin Reitmann scored 10 of his team-high 13 points in the first half to lead Matawan.

Manalapan 78, West Windsor-Plainsboro South 49
Junior guard Joe Farino buried four three-pointers and finished with a game-high 30 points as the Braves (5-7) throttled the Pirates (1-15). Senior guard Dean Aviles knocked down four threes of his own and finished with 18 points. Junior Spencer Schoenfield knocked down three treys and added 11 points. Freshman Josh Sosinov chipped in nine points.
