Howell 71, Hamilton West 30

Juniors Cayden Parker and Mark Fagan each scored 13 points and the Rebels (1-1) rode a balanced attack that included 11 three-pointers to a win over the Hornets (0-4). Senior Joe Vella added 12 points and classmate Peter Barkauskas pitched in 10 for Howell.

Robbinsville 71, Matawan 57

Marcus Rodolphe scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Ravens (3-1) in handing the Huskies (0-3) their third straight loss to open the season. Senior Jayden Elijah led Matawan with 19 points and classmate Amir Martinez threw in 15 in the loss.

Hightstown 51, Middletown North 39

Junior Colin Byrne pumped in 23 points but it was not enough to stop the host Rams (3-1) from beating the Lions (1-2) in the final game of the CVC-Shore Showcase.

Senior Mason Krey scored 17 points and sophomore Gavin Gerckens added 13 to pace the Bengals (3-0) to a win over the Greyhounds (1-3) — their third straight victory to open the season.
