Senior Sherrod Nelson scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half and the Mariners (3-2) overcame a slow start to top the Caseys (4-2).
Freshman Jake Greenberg and sophomore Logan Brill each added 11 points, with Brill knocking down three three-pointers for Toms River North, which overcame a 14-4 deficit at the end of the first quarter. Senior Sean Saxton scored 14 of his game-high 18 points in the first half to lead Red Bank Catholic while classmate Ryan Prior pitched in 14 points on four three-pointers for RBC.

Sophomore Danny O’Neill scored a game-high 18 points and the Lancers (4-3) edged the Garnet Gulls (3-3) to salvage a seventh-place finish at the WOBM Classic following two losses to ranke Shore Conference teams in each of the first two rounds (No. 3 Manasquan and No. 7 Toms River North).
Senior Jesse Plunkett scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half while sophomore Justin Togans scored eight of his 10 points in the first half. Senior Alex Jurado also poured in nine points for SJV.
Junior Jacob Edgecomb and sophomores Tyler Preston and George Breckenridge all scored 12 points apiece to lead Point Beach. Senior Scot Crowley added 11 points and sophomore Danny Cavanaugh pitched in 10 in the loss.

Junior Sean Collins poured in 19 points while grabbing seven rebounds and blocking two shots to lead the Mustangs (5-1) to a win over the Raiders (1-5). Senior Joe Witter added nine points and seven rebounds for Brick Memorial.
Senior Mason Clinton led Toms River East with 10 points.

Junior Shane Gambarony scored 33 points for the second time in three games and the Indians (1-4) rolled to a win over the Green Dragons (2-4). Gambarony finished with 83 points in three WOBM Classic games for a tournament average of 27.3 points.
Senior Mark Avendano added nine points for Toms River South. Senior Jayden Johnson scored 15 points to lead Brick.

Middletown South 65, Manalapan 61
Senior Brady Hahn scored 10 of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter to wrap up his Tournament MVP performance and lead the Eagles (4-2) to a win over the previously-unbeaten Braves (3-1).
Junior Matt Trimble added 12 points, six rebounds and three assists and classmate Beckett Oliver chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds despite playing limited minutes due to foul trouble that ultimately resulted in him fouling out with just over a minute to play.
Junior Luca Donofrio also netted 11 points and led a defensive effort that held Manalapan senior star Aiden Sosinov to 14 points and eight rebounds on 4-for-20 shooting from the field. During Manalapan’s three-game winning streak to open the season, Sosinov scored at least 30 points in each game and entered Sunday averaging 34.7 points per game.
Hahn gave Middletown South the lead for good, 51-48, with a three-pointer with five minutes left. Manalapan cut the deficit to one three different times down the stretch, but the Eagles answered each time — including a lay-up by Trimble to make it 53-50 and Hahn finish off a Trimble feed for a 55-52 Middletown South lead. After Manalapan pulled within 57-56, Hahn sank a pair of free throws with a minute left and later hit a pair from the line with 28 seconds to stretch his team’s lead to 62-58.
Junior Dean Aviles led Manalapan with 15 points to go with five assists and senior Rich Piccillo contributed 13 points and six rebounds in the loss.
Consolation
Howell 69, Raritan 46
Junior Caden Parker scored a game-high 20 points and the Rebels (2-2) rode an all-around effort to a consolation win over the Rockets (1-3). Sophomore Noah Musto poured in a career-best 15 points, all-tournament honoree Peter Barkauskas netted 12 points and senior Joe Vella pitched in nine points for Howell.

Rumson-Fair Haven 55, Immaculata 36
Junior Luke Cruz scored 24 points, hauled in 11 rebounds and swatted five blocked shots to spark the Bulldogs (3-1) to a convincing win over the Spartans (4-2) in the Kowal championship game.
Junior Luke Lydon added 14 points for Rumson, which stormed out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back.

St. Rose 57, Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) 54
Sophomore Avery Lynch scored 12 of his team-high 19 points in the second half and junior Jayden Hodge delivered a pair of go-ahead baskets in the fourth quarter as part of a 16-point effort that lifted the Purple Roses (4-2) to a come-from-behind win over the New York City power.
St. Rose trailed, 36-21, with 6:30 left in the third quarter before outscoring Stepinac, 19-7, over the remainder of the third quarter to go into the fourth trailing, 43-40. The Purple Roses then scored the first four points of the fourth quarter, taking a 44-43 lead on a steal and layup by freshman Oymere Rene.
Stepinac regained a 45-44 lead, which Hodge responded to with a corner three-pointer to make it 47-45. After Stepinac tied the game at 47, Hodge answered with a drive to the basket for a 49-47 lead that St. Rose would not give back.
Lynch also grabbed seven rebounds to go with his scoring, while Hodge contributed five rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots. Junior Tyler Cameron pitched in six points, four rebounds for St. Rose and two steals and senior Evan Romano pitched in five points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots in the win.
