(2) CBA 75, (15) Point Beach 45

Senior Justin Fuerbacher led five CBA players in double-figure scoring with 14 points and the Colts (17-3) routed the Garnet Gulls (16-7) to reach the SCT quarterfinals Saturday vs. No. 7 Holmdel at Middletown South High School. The trip to the SCT quarterfinals is the first for Colts Neck since 2012, when the Cougars lost to Neptune in the tournament championship game.

Junior Connor Andree added 13 points, classmate Charlie Marcoullier poured in 12, senior Kevin Pikiell chipped in 11 and sophomore David Buley contributed 10 for CBA’s wide-ranging attack.

Senior Scot Crowley and sophomore Tyler Preston each scored 11 points to lead Point Beach.

(7) Holmdel 78, (10) Red Bank Catholic 65

Six Holmdel players scored at least nine points and five reached double-figures, led by senior Daxx Corneiro with 16 points, as the Hornets (13-7) rolled through the Caseys (13-10) for a third time this season, sending Holmdel back to the SCT quarterfinals for the second straight year.

Senior C.J. Karis scored 15 points, junior Jack Vallillo netted 13, senior Ire Adesina pitched in 12 and senior Joe Currieri fired in 11 in Holmdel’s balanced attack. Freshman Anthony Serini also netted nine off the bench in the win.

Senior Ryan Prior scored a game-high 19 points to lead Red Bank Catholic while classmate Sean Saxton and sophomore Gavin Biasi each scored 12 in the loss.

Holmdel will face No. 2 CBA Saturday at Middletown South in the second of four SCT quarterfinals games — a rematch of CBA’s 63-36 win over the Hornets in December.

(9) Colts Neck 49, (8) Wall 40

Senior Bryce Belcher delivered a game-high 19 points and the Cougars (12-7) turned it on in the second half to pull past the Crimson Knights (17-5) and into the SCT quarterfinals Saturday against top-seeded Manasquan at Middletown South.

Senior Dan Buoncore added 10 points, junior Dillon Younger chipped in eight and senior Lukas Sloan returned from a two-game injury absence to give Colts Neck seven points.

Senior Tom Ekberg scored 14 points and junior Liam Killea poured in 11 to lead Wall, which took a 22-20 lead into halftime before Colts Neck took over with a 29-18 second half that closed out the win on the road.

(1) Manasquan 61, (16) Marlboro 37

Griffin Linstra scored 20 points to go with 13 rebounds and five assists as the Manasquan senior captained the Warriors (18-3) to a win over the Mustangs (10-12) that sends them to the SCT quarterfinals for the 14th straight season.

Sophomore Rey Weinseimer added 12 points, five rebounds and five steals and senior Matteo Chiarella chipped in eight points off the bench for Manasquan, which will play No. 9 Colts Neck Saturday at 4:15 p.m. at Middletown South High School.

Senior Cole Newman led Marlboro with 10 points.

(6) Rumson-Fair Haven 69, (11) Middletown North 50

Junior Luke Cruz scored a game-high 20 points and the Bulldogs (16-5) beat the Lions (16-7) for the second time this season, with this latest victory sending Rumson to the SCT quarterfinals Saturday at Middletown South for a third crack at Ridge Road rival Red Bank.

Junior Nick Economu came through with 13 points off the bench and classmate Luke Lydon chipped in 11 for Rumson-Fair Haven. Junior Eddie Lopez scored 16 points to lead Middletown North, while sophomore Nate Tyburczy added 12 and senior Colin Byrne chipped in 11 in the loss.

(4) St. Rose 82, (20) Jackson Memorial 31

Junior Jayden Hodge scored 18 points and senior Evan Romano surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his varsity career to highlight a Purple Roses (16-7) rout of the Jaguars (10-13) that sends St. Rose to the SCT quarterfinals for the third straight year.

Hodge also dished out four assists and came up with three steals, while Romano finished with 11 points and five assists on his memorable night. Junior Tyler Cameron contributed 10 points and four steals for St. Rose. Junior George Boley led Jackson Memorial with 16 points.

St. Rose will take on No. 5 Central Saturday in the first of four quarterfinal games at Middletown South.

(5) Central 46, (12) Freehold Boro 44

Sophomore Derek Roth led a balanced offensive effort with 13 points and seven rebounds as the Golden Eagles (21-2) held off a fourth-quarter push by the Colonials (17-7) to advance to the SCT quarterfinals for the third straight season.

Senior Jaycen Santucci scored six of his 12 points in the fourth quarter while also adding six rebounds and six assists, while senior Aidan Graham pitched in 11 points for Central. Senior Jayson King netted eight points and senior Royalty Riley chipped in 11 rebounds and four steals to go with his four points in the victory.

Senior Aidan Hamlin-Woolfolk led Freehold Boro with 19 points and eight rebounds, including a three-pointer that cut Central’s lead to 45-44 with 46.9 seconds left — the closest Freehold Boro got to the lead since Central went ahead, 7-5, in the first quarter on a three-pointer by Graham. Both teams then traded turnovers and Graham hit one of two free throws with 8.5 seconds left. Hamlin-Woolfolk got into the paint on the final possession, but his scoop shot did not find the mark on the game’s final shot.

Senior Brian Tassey added 13 points and five assists for Freehold Boro.

Central will face defending champion St. Rose — the No. 1 team in the Shore Sports Insider Top 10 despite being the No 4 seed in the tournament — in the SCT quarterfinals Saturday at 11 a.m. at Middletown South High School.

(3) Red Bank 67, (14) Southern 50

Senior Zayier Dean poured in a game-high 20 points and the Bucs (19-3) powered past the Rams (16-6) to reach the SCT quarterfinals Saturday vs. Rumson-Fair Haven at Middletown South High School.

Senior Ronald Richardson pitched in 16 points, classmate Ryan Fisher added 11 and fellow senior Anthony Moore contributed 10 for Red Bank. Sophomore Noah Perna posted 16 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while junior teammate Jake Sliwinski went for 13 points, nine rebounds and five assists to lead Southern. Senior Rich Flores also threw in nine points in the loss.
