The Dragons (9-2) scored 21 unanswered points to snap a 7-7 halftime tie and end the season for the Rams (9-2).

The Mariners (5-6) were blanked by the Vikings (9-1) to end their reign as the three-time Group 5 champions and snap their 16-game playoff winning streak.
Central Jersey Group 4
(1) Brick Memorial 40, (5) Steinert 7
The Mustangs (9-2) once again put up plenty of points in a big-time playoff win over the Spartans (7-3).
Brick Memorial ran all over the field, as senior quarterback Jason Lajara scored three rushing touchdowns, senior Nazeer Whittaker added two, and senior Eric Pedre added a third rushing score. Brick Memorial went up 26-0 after the first half and never looked back.
The Mustangs will face off against third-seeded Middletown North for the sectional title.
(3) Middletown North 20, (2) Manalapan 14
The Lions (5-4) got the win on the road over the Braves (7-4) and advanced to the sectional title game.
Junior running back Matt Belenko scored both touchdowns on the ground for Middletown North, converting from a yard out in the first quarter to open the scoring, and from three yards out in the fourth quarter to go up by two possessions. Senior kicker Seamus Monteague hit two first-half field goals from 34 and 36 yards out, which proved to be the difference.
The Lions will move on to face top-seeded Brick Memorial in the sectional title next weekend.
Central Jersey Group 3
(1) Holmdel 65, (4) Neptune 42
Senior quarterback Jack Cannon had a single-game school-record nine total touchdowns between rushing and passing as the Hornets (8-2) won a shootout over the Scarlet Fliers (9-2) to punch their ticket to their first sectional final since 1991 and the second in school history. The 65 points are also believed to be a single-game school record for Holmdel.
The Hornets will host third-seeded Seneca next week in search of their first state sectional title in school history.
Cannon ran for touchdowns of 63, 54 and 8 yards and threw six touchdown passes in the win. He hit senior wideout James Murphy for touchdowns of 10, 45 and 18 yards, found tight end Carmine Aliperti for touchdowns of 45 and 21 yards, and junior wideout Michael Todisco for a 17-yard score as he racked up over 400 yards of total offense.
In the first half alone, Cannon was 9-for-11 passing for 190 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 160 yards and three touchdowns on 10 attempts.
Junior quarterback Caleb Brown-Mason was spectacular in the loss for Neptune. He ran for touchdowns of 1, 50 and 25 yards and threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to junior wideout Daaron Lynch and a 25-yard scoring pass to junior Hassin McMillian. Junior running back Kingston Pinnock also had a 1-yard touchdown run that was set up by a 41-yard interception return by senior defensive lineman Koen Johnson.
(3) Seneca 28, (7) Matawan 7
Sophomore wide receiver Cayson Williams had an 80-yard touchdown catch from sophomore quarterback BlairCarter Gagneron that tied the game 7-7 in the third quarter before the Eagles (9-2) scored 21 unanswered points to down the Huskies (6-5).

(1) Camden 46, (4) Manasquan 6
Junior quarterback Kyle Dow found senior wideout Frankie Tackett in the red zone for the Warriors’ (8-2) lone score of the night, ending their playoff run.
(2) Wall 17, (3) Rumson-Fair Haven 13
The Knights (8-2) held on and snapped the Bulldogs’ (6-4) whopping 11 consecutive sectional final appearances.
Wall’s defense held Rumson-Fair Haven in check for nearly the entire game, and the offense got big scores from senior running back Dylan Cohen to start the game, and a 23-yard score from senior quarterback Brian McKenna to senior wideout Maddox Mizelle on a fourth down late in the second quarter. Senior kicker Heath Reinhardt added a big insurance field goal from 32 yards out early in the fourth quarter, capping off a massive 22-play drive that took up nearly an entire quarter’s worth of action. The Bulldogs scored two touchdowns late but it was not enough.
The Knights will travel to face off against top-seeded Camden for the sectional title.
Central Jersey Group 1
(2) Shore 30, (6) Point Beach 6
Junior running back Cole Torres rolled up 213 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 27 carries to help the Blue Devils (8-2) beat the Garnet Gulls (7-3) for the second time this season and advance to their second straight sectional final.
Shore will play at top-seeded Burlington City in the championship game next Friday.

(8) St. John Vianney 35, (9) Pope John 17
The Lancers (5-5) avenged a loss to the Lions (2-8) from last year’s state playoffs as senior running back Danny Breen had rushing touchdowns of 4 and 10 yards and senior quarterback Zach LaBarca ran for over 150 yards and threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Adam Urs.
Junior running back Corleii Thomas added a 12-yard touchdown run, and sophomore Khalyd Goodman-Ware returned a fumble 99 yards for a touchdown in the win.
St. John Vianney will travel to face the No. 1 seed and defending champion DePaul next week in the quarterfinals.
(4) Donovan Catholic 49, (13) Notre Dame 21
The Griffins (8-3) won their seventh straight game by rolling past the Irish (4-7) to set up a quarterfinal game at home against Holy Spirit next week.
(3) Red Bank Catholic 41, (14) Hudson Catholic 0
Freshman running back Gabe Kemp had touchdown runs of one and 34 yards, freshman quarterback Rahmir Rivera hit senior wideout Daniel Zabora for a touchdown pass and sophomore defensive back Jason Berecsky had a pick-six as the Caseys (10-1) roared out to a 34-0 halftime lead on their way to beating the Hawks (3-7).
RBC will host Paul VI (5-4) in the quarterfinals next week.
