Senior Jayvion Rogers scored 18 points and classmate Donnie Stevenson added 13 to help the Scarlet Fliers open their season with a win over the Hawks.
Senior Aidan Lunn scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to carry Manchester.
Henry Hudson 45, Ocean 30
Junior Billy Quinn and sophomore JoJo Newell each scored 12 points and the Admirals (1-1) squashed the Spartans to nail down their first win of the season. Junior Michael Fitzpatrick also poured in 11 points and senior Kevin Pharo chipped in eight for Henry Hudson.
Junior Niall Tantrum led Ocean with eight points.
Brick Memorial 68, Toms River East 52
Junior Nyzier Matthews scored a game-high 17 points and the Mustangs topped the Raiders for a season-opening victory.
Junior Austin Braaten added 14 points and classmate Sean Collins pitched in 13 for Brick Memorial. Freshman Brady Gillen led Toms River East with 13 points and five rebounds, while senior Mason Clinton and junior Shamus O’Grady each added 10 points in the loss.
Pinelands 47, Lakewood 35
Senior Ty Kline, senior Brady Fence and junior Josh Barongo each scored 12 points and the Wildcats (2-0) rode a balanced effort to a win over the Piners — their second straight win in as many nights to open the season.
Kline made a bid for a triple-double, finishing with 11 rebounds and six assists. Both Fence and Barongo grabbed eight rebounds apiece.
No. 7 Red Bank 71, No. 8 Southern 48
Senior Ryan Fisher scored a team-high 23 points and sophomore Will Galligan knocked down six three-pointers on the way to 20 as the Bucs (3-0) rolled to a road win over the Rams.
Senior Zayier Dean also poured in 14 points for Red Bank, which won its third straight game to open the season.
Junior Jake Sliwinski scored a game-high 25 points while grabbing nine rebounds to lead Southern, with sophomore Noah Perna chipping in 11 points in the loss.
Toms River North 55, No. 10 Jackson Memorial 37
Senior Mekai Morse turned in a career-best performance with 20 points and 13 rebounds and the Mariners turned back the Jaguars (1-1) in their season-opener in Toms River.
Senior Sherrod Nelson also scored 18 points while dishing out seven assists and junior Bryce Kazanowsky chipped in five points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
Junior Jimmy Papalardo led Jackson Memorial with 10 points.

No. 6 Freehold Boro 65, North Brunswick 61
Senior Brian Tassey went off for a career-high 37 points while also posting 10 rebounds, six assists and seven blocked shots as the Colonials (1-1) bounced back from a season-opening loss to CBA by beating the Raiders.
Junior Mike Cush pitched in 11 points, senior Qua’Mir Everett added nine points and seven rebounds, and junior Joe Haney contributed six points and 11 rebounds in the Freehold Boro win.
Keyport 69, South Amboy 56
Junior Kai Arrington pumped in 21 points and the Red Raiders (2-0) picked up their second win in as many nights by beating the Governors. Senior Nico Dispenza added 17 points and classmate Andrei Matthews netted 14 for Keyport.
Bernards 67, New Egypt 62
Keansburg 73, Academy Charter 67
Junior Matt Cerretta scored 22 points and classmate Milan Mraz poured in 20 to lead the Titans to a season-opening win over Acdemy Charter. Junior I’Shon Young added 12 points and senior A’Son Young threw in 10 for Keansburg.
Dante Lyons scored a game-high 27 points to lead Academy Charter.
No. 4 Central 60, Lenape 48
Senior Jaycen Santucci scored 24 points to go with seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocked shots, sparking the Golden Eagles to a win over last year’s Group IV runner-up in the season opener.
Santucci shot 9-for-15 from the floor, including four dunks. Senior Jayson King also pitched in 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win and sophomore Derek Roth — a transfer from Lacey — pitched in 11 points in his Central debut.
Freshman guard Tyree Thorp led Lenape with 14 points and junior Nolan Barnes chipped in 13 for the Indians, who lost their top six scorers from last season — five to graduation and one to transfer.
