We’re back with the Week 4 NuVision Resolve Shore Conference Football Player of the Week poll where we post nominees for the Shore Conference offensive, defensive and special teams Players of the Week and give readers the chance to choose who should take home the award based on their performance in the previous week’s games.

Shore Sports Insider will also select its own offensive, defensive and special teams Players of the Week for each of the Shore Conference’s seven divisions.

Read through each player’s accomplishments for the week and cast your votes. This week’s poll will close on Wednesday at noon.

OFFENSE

Liam Brosnan, Sr., RB, Point Beach

-Ran for a career-high 182 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries and intercepted a pass on defense in a 22-12 win over Asbury Park.

 

Jack Cannon, Jr., QB, Holmdel

-Completed 13 of 18 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 80 yards on 19 carries in a 35-14 win for the No. 10 Hornets over previously-undefeated and sixth-ranked Wall.

 

Nick Cardone, Sr., QB, Freehold Township

-Completed 16 of 25 passes for 267 yards tied his own program single-game record with five touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 34-21 win over Matawan.

 

Ryan Dougherty, Sr., QB, Manalapan

-Completed 9 of 12 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown, ran for 35 yards and two touchdowns, and tossed the game-winning 2-pt conversion pass to senior tight end Anthon Hammel in the No. 12 Braves’ thrilling 35-34 overtime victory over No. 7 St. John Vianney.

 

Ace Etienne, Jr., RB, Manasquan

-Ran for 154 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in a 37-24 loss to Raritan.

 

Quentin Fisher, Sr., QB, Long Branch

-Ran for 126 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries and threw for 137 yards and a touchdown when the Green Wave defeated Colts Neck, 28-20, for their first win of the season.

 

Jake Henehan, Sr., RB, Toms River South

-Rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a 30-7 win over Lacey.

 

James Hirtes, Sr., QB, Brick

-Ran for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns on 12 carries, threw for 50 yards and a touchdown and kicked a 21-yard field goal in a 37-13 win over Toms River East.

 

John Jeleniewski, Jr., RB, Raritan

-Ran for 122 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries as part of a 410-yard team rushing performance in the Rockets’ 37-24 win over Manasquan.

 

Aidan Kelly, So., RB/WR, Jackson Liberty

-Ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries and caught two passes for 45 yards and a touchdown in a 38-6 win over Lakewood.

 

Aidan Lunn, Sr., QB, Manchester

-Completed 7 of 11 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown and ran for 85 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in a 24-12 win over Barnegat.

 

Am’ir Martinez, Sr., QB, Matawan

-Ran for 128 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries and completed 6 of 8 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in a 34-21 loss to Freehold Township.

 

Nyzier Matthews, Jr., WR, Brick Memorial

-Caught two passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the No. 5 Mustangs’ 34-27 win over No. 9 Donovan Catholic.

 

Eddie Novatkowski, Jr., RB, New Egypt

-Ran for a career-high 181 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries when the Warriors improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2011 with a 20-6 win over Keyport.

 

Brendan O’Brien, Sr., RB, Shore

-Ran for three touchdowns in the Blue Devils’ 41-0 win over Keansburg.

 

Owen O’Toole, Sr., QB, Rumson-Fair Haven

-Completed 9 of 13 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a touchdown to eclipse 5,000 career passing yards in a 34-6 win over Middletown South.

 

Jaimin Parkinson, Sr., RB, Pinelands

-Ran for a career-high 237 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in a 40-0 win over Monmouth Regional.

 

Dylan Reitmeyer, Sr., FB, Point Boro

-Ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries in a 24-21 loss to No. 1 Toms River North.

 

Bryson Royal, Jr., RB, Colts Neck

-Ran for a career-high 176 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in a 28-20 loss to Long Branch.

 

T.J. Valerio, Sr., QB, Toms River North

-Completed 19 of 25 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 65 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries to lead the No. 1 Mariners to a 24-21 comeback victory over No. 4 Point Boro.

 

Abdul Turay, So., RB, St. John Vianney

-Ran for 225 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries in a 35-34 overtime loss to Manalapan.

 

Joe Vezzosi, Sr., QB, Central

-Delivered the best game of his career by going 15 of 21 for 301 yards and four touchdowns, including the go-ahead 13-yard touchdown pass to sophomore CJ Yates with 20 seconds left, to help lead the Golden Eagles to a 26-21 comeback win over Southern.

 

Jack Viola, Jr., WR, Middletown North

-Caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown and went 5-for-5 on extra points in a 35-7 win over Freehold.

 

Frankie Williams, Sr., QB, Red Bank Catholic

-Threw for 151 yards and four touchdowns on 10 of 12 passing in the No. 3 Caseys’ 42-0 win over No. 11 Marlboro.

 

 

 

DEFENSE

Brady Cicala, Jr., Toms River North

-Tied for the game-high with 12 tackles when the No. 1 Mariners rallied for a 24-21 win over No. 4 Point Boro.

 

Zach Cramer, Jr., LB, Central

-Tied his career high by recording 14 tackles for the second straight game in the Golden Eagles’ 26-21 comeback win over Southern.

 

Patrick McGonnell, Sr., LB, Red Bank Catholic

-Posted 10 tackles, 1 sack and 4 tackles for loss when the No. 3 Caseys shut out No. 11 Marlboro, 42-0.

 

Carson Memmot, Sr., DB, Rumson-Fair Haven

-Returned an interception for a touchdown as part of the Bulldogs’ 35-6 win over Middletown South.

 

Brayden Nelson, Sr., LB, New Egypt

-Made nine tackles (6 solo) with 1 sack and 3 tackles for loss in a 20-6 win over Keyport, improving the Warriors to 4-o for the first time since 2011.

 

Brian O’Donnell, Sr., DB, Middletown North

-Recorded three tackles for loss in a 35-7 win over Freehold for a starting defense that has not allowed a touchdown all season. Also ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass.

 

Colin Obser, Sr., LB, Point Boro

-Recorded 12 tackles and forced a fumble in the No. 4 Panthers’ 24-21 loss to No. 1 Toms River North.

 

Zach Padilla, Sr., DB, Howell

-Intercepted two passes, one of which he returned for a touchdown when the Rebels shut out No. 8 Jackson Memorial, 18-0.

 

Erik Pedre, Jr., LB, Brick Memorial

-Returned a fumble for a touchdown and recorded seven tackles with one tackle for loss in the No. 5 Mustangs’ 34-27 win over No. 9 Donovan Catholic.

 

Germaine Rice Jr., Jr., DB, Brick

-Returned an interception for a touchdown and also ran for a 32-yard touchdown in a 37-13 win over Toms River East.

 

Jaeshon Smith, Sr., DL, Manchester

-Recorded a career-high three sacks when the Hawks beat Barnegat, 24-12, and shut down a Bengals’ offense that had scored 40 or more points in three straight games.

 

Michael Todisco, So., DB, Holmdel

-Returned two interceptions for touchdowns, recorded six tackles and caught two passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in the No. 10 Hornets’ 35-14 win over No. 6 Wall, which was unbeaten entering Week 4.

 

 

SPECIAL TEAMS

Jack McGreevy, Sr., K, Raritan

McGreevy kicked a 28-yard field goal during the Rockets 37-24 win over Manasquan.

 

Brandon Mueller, Jr., K, Holmdel

Went 5-for-5 on extra points in the No. 10 Hornets win over previously-unbeaten Wall.

 

Yianni Papanikolas, Sr., K, Toms River North

-Kicked the go-ahead 20-yard field goal with 46 seconds left and went 3-for-3 on extra points in the No. 1 Mariners’ 24-21 comeback win over No. 4 Point Boro.

 

Ian Spicer, Sr, K, Manchester

-Kicked a 25-yard field goal and went 3-for-3 on extra points in the Hawks’ 24-12 win over Barnegat.
