Junior Stella Lockhart scored a team-high 16 points and had four steals to help SJV start the season 2-0 in the She Got Game Classic. Junior Madison Kocis finished with 12 points and went 6 for 6 from the foul line. SJV shot 16 out of 19 from the foul line as a team.

Saddle River Day 68, No. 7 Ranney 63
Ranney was outscored 25-11 in third quarter after building a 25-15 lead after the first quarter and fell to Saddle River Day in a non-conference game. Senior Haley Poser picked-up right where she left off last season, scoring a game-high 25 points to lead Ranney. Sophomore Ashley Kreiger added 21 points and Claire Doherty scored 8 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

No. 2 St. John Vianney 59, Grandview Prep (FL) 26
The Lady Lancers opened the season off with a win against nationally ranked Grandview Prep in the She Got Game Classic. Junior Madison Kocis scored 19 points to lead SJV and Taylor Sofilkanich added 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Lancers held Grandview Prep to just five second half points. SJV will play Cardinal O’Hara (PA) tomorrow at 2 p.m. before returning to New Jersey.

No. 5 Manasquan 56, No. 6 Trinity Hall 42
Senior Olivia Shaughnessy pumped in a game-high 20 points to lead defending Group 2 State Champion Manasquan past Trinity Hall on opening night.
Senior Shea Donnelly fired in 16 points for the Warriors who opened up an 11 point double-digit halftime lead before holding strong in the 2nd half.
Junior Grace Feeney led a balanced scoring effort for the Monarchs with 12 points while Junior Niamh Stapleton added 10 points.
Both teams combined to shoot 53 total free throws with Manasquan converting 15/23 attempts while Trinity Hall converted 24/30 attempts.
