Monmouth 29,  Pinelands 20

Monmouth had six different scorers in a balanced attack led by senior Marissa Herman with 8 points to win their opening game of the season. Sophomore Antonella Ibarra scored 5 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for Monmouth. Freshman Rory Krier scored a game-high 15 points in her debut for Pinelands.

Matawan 40, Asbury Park 9 

Matawan held Asbury Park to just four first half points and had 13 different players score a basket in their opening night victory. Adriana Euell, Sabrina Calcagno, MJ Beukers and Emma Jacome all scored four points to lead Matawan.

No. 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 56, Middletown North 28

Rumson closed out the game outscoring Middletown North 20-2 in the 4th quarter. Sophomore Grace Smith led all scorers with 14 points and senior Sylvie Notine scored 13 points and had 5 assists. Sophomore Kaelyn Gibson led the Lions with 9 points.

Middletown South 50, Marlboro 20

Middletown South held Marlboro to four second half points to win their opening game of the season. The Eagles had two players finish with double-doubles, Caitlin Whyte had 13 points and 19 rebounds and Elizabeth Tardy finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Calvary Christian (Old Bridge) 52, Henry Hudson 23
