Shore Conference Girls Basketball Scoreboard Friday, Feb. 7

Class A Central

Neptune, 56, Wall 44

Neptune outscored Wall 13-3 in the first quarter and held the lead the rest of the game to get back to .500 on the season. Freshman Tyeera Howard scored a team-high 19 points and Bre Evans added 17 points for Neptune. Senior Maria Amitie scored a game-high 23 points for Wall.

No. 6 Howell 53,  Jackson Memorial 38

Senior Kiera McKown reached the 1,000 point milestone for Howell after scoring 12 points in the Rebels win over Jackson Memorial. Sophomore Kylee Beam and BellaRose Marino both scored 15 points for Howell. Sophomore Cali Brown scored a team-high 12 points and Isabella Finer added 10 points for Jackson Memorial.

No. 1 Manasquan 52,  No. 4 St. Rose 26

Manasquan raced past St. Rose in what was perhaps their most impressive victory of the season. Senior Shea Donnelly scored a game-high 20 points while Senior Olivia Shaughnessy added 14 points in the victory of the Warriors. Senior Cassidy Kruesi scored a team-high 10 points while Junior Jada Lynch chipped in 6 points in the loss for the Roses.

 

Class A Coastal

No. 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 55, Middletown South 34

Rumson built a 12 point lead going into halftime and went on to win their 11th game of the season. Senior Sylvie Notine knocked down five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 17 points and Erin Reid added 15 points for the Bulldogs.

No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 47, No. 3 St. John Vianney 45

The Caseys complete the sweep of the regular season against SJV with a back-and-forth win at RBC. The win clinches the Class A Coastal title as they head into the SCT next week. Junior Addy Nyemchek had 8 points in the fourth quarter and scored a game-high 23 points for RBC. Senior Christina Liggio added 10 points and came up with two big offensive rebounds for the Caseys. Junior Madison Kocis drained four 3-pointers to score a team-high 15 points for the Lancers. Taylor Sofilkanich added 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, 4 of them on the offensive end.

 


 

Class A South

Manchester 44, Toms River East 40

Manchester snapped the Raiders 14 game win streak in a division battle. Sophomore Madeline Nolan scored a game-high 22 points  for Manchester. Libby Dickman scored a team-high 10 points and Grace Crowley added 9 points for TRE.

Southern 47, Central 39

Southern was able to hang on to their five point halftime lead to win their 8th game of the season. Casey Collins scored a game-high 21 points and Gabriella Lum added 11 points for Southern. Junior Emma Christensen scored a team-high 10 points for Central.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 52, Jackson Liberty 7

Kaitlyn Hard scored a game-high 16 points and Erin Frauenheim added 10 points to lead Point Beach to their 14th win of the season.

New Egypt 46, Lakewood 19

New Egypt shut Lakewood out in the fourth quarter to seal their 7th win of the season. Olivia Stillwell scored a game-high 18 points and Madison Adam added 14 points for New Egypt.

No. 10 Point Boro 51, Brick Memorial 35

Point Boro jumped out to a 18-5 lead on Brick Memorial and continued to build their lead to win their 19th game of the season. Senior Vanessa Haas scored a team-high 9 points and three players scored 8 points each for Point Boro. Liana Lopena scored a game-high 14 points for Brick Memorial.

 

Class B North

Freehold Boro 62, Asbury Park 18

Freehold Boro jumped out to a 21-2 1st quarter lead and never looked back in a lopsided victory over Asbury Park. Senior Christina Sikaras scored a game-high 19 points, dished out 10 assists, and recorded 7 steals in a near triple-double performance while Senior Sayuri Penaranda recorded a 12 point and 10 rebound double-double in the win for the Patriots. Mariah Wilson scored a team-high 8 points for the Blue Bishops.

 

Class B South

Brick Township 61, Toms River South 45

Brick Township built a 18-4 lead in the first quarter and did not look back to win their 14th game of the season. Freshman Ariana Wissen scored a game-high 18 points and Riley Nausedas added 13 points for Brick Township. Freshman Daniella Gordon scored a team-high 12 points for TRS.

Lacey 53, Barnegat 50

Lacey held onto their seven point lead heading into the fourth quarter to win their 14th game of the season. Four players scored double-digits for Lacey and two finished with a double-double. Reece Paget scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Brooklyn Bell scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lions.

 

Non-Conference

Keyport 49, Academy Charter 24

Keyport jumped out to a 14-5 lead and did not look back to win their 4th game of the season. Gia Aceta scored a game-high 18 points and Jenna O’Brien added 10 points for Keyport.

Keansburg 63, Brearley 60

Trailing by three points at halftime, Keansburg outscored Brearley 18-13 in the third quarter to win their 15th game of the season. Gabriella Flanzbaum scored a career-high 28 points and Princess Graves added 16 points for Keansburg.
