Shore Conference Girls Basketball Scoreboard Tuesday, Jan. 14

Class A North

Ocean Township at No. 7 Ranney, 4:30 p.m.

No. 8 Trinity Hall 58, Colts Neck 48

Junior Grace Feeney continued her great season with a game-high 21 points to help Trinity Hall win their 9th game of the season. Feeney and Lilly Riggi both knocked down three 3-pointers in the game and Riggie finished with 15 points. Freshman Emily Donahue also knocked down three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 11 points for Colts Neck.

Marlboro 54, Shore 37

Marlboro came out of halftime and outscored Shore 20-3 to win their 4th game of the season. Freshman Mackenzie Klatsky knocked down three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 17 points and senior Brooke Gordon added 9 points for Marlboro. Senior Kimi Sayson scored a team-high 14 points for Shore.

 

Class A Coastal

No. 5 Red Bank Regional 55, Middletown South 26

RBR bounced off their loss on Sunday by jumping out to a 18-4 lead in the first quarter on their way to their 8th win of the season. Junior Synai Blychanton scored a game-high 15 points  and Caroline Polloway added 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.

No. 3 Red Bank Catholic 73,  No. 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 31

After holding Rumson to just 10 points in the first half, the Caseys outscored the Bulldogs 23-6 in the third quarter to win their 7th game of the season. Senior Christina Liggio scored a game-high 13 points and Addy Nyemcheck added 11 points for RBC. Junior Erin Reid had a team-high 9 points for Rumson.

No. 1 St. John Vianney 89, Holmdel 26

Four players scored double-digits for to give the Lancers their conference high 10th win. Freshman Antonia Jackson knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 17 points for SJV. Junior Madison Kocis and sophomore Elisabeth Lyons both added 14 points for SJV.

 

Class A South

Southern 47, Toms River North 35

Southern overcame foul trouble to win their 3rd game of the season. The Rams had two starters sit majority of the second half with four fouls, but were able to extend their six point lead they had at halftime. Senior Casey Collins knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 15 points and had 4 assists. Senior Avery DiPietro was a force on the glass and defensive side of the floor. She finished with 12 rebounds and 4 steals and freshman Mackenzie Sininsky scored 7 points and had 7 steals for Southern. TRN was led by both Cara Sarluca and Jordyn Brown with 9 points. Brown also had 8 steals for the Mariners.

Class B North

Manalapan 50, Monmouth 15

Manalapan held Monmouth to four points in the first half to build a 37-4 lead at halftime to win their 5th game of the season. Sophomore Brianna Libretti scored a game-high 14 points for Manalapan.

Freehold Township 62,  Asbury Park 10

Freehold Boro 59, Long Branch 44 

The Colonials jumped all over Long Branch, outscoring them 22-9 in the first quarter to win their 8th game of the season. Senior Sayuri Penaranda posted her fifth double-double in a row , scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for Freehold Boro. Senior Christina Sikaras knocked down four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 24 points for Freehold Boro. Senior Leomary Diaz-Merino scored a team-high 21 points for Long Branch.

 

Class B Coastal

Keansburg 56, Keyport 22

Keansburg outscored Keyport 33-4 in the first half on their way to their 9th win of the season. Junior Gabriella Flanzbaum scored a game-high 18 points and Lindsay Rivera posted a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for Keansburg.

Middletown North 47,  Matawan 25

Middletown North out scored Matawan 14-4 to start the game and closed out the game with a 16-6 fourth quarter to remain undefeated in Class B Coastal. Danielle Gonzalez scored a game-high 13 points and Laila Iasparro added 12 points for the Lions. Jazlyn Frederick scored a team-high 8 points for Matawan.

Raritan 40, Henry Hudson 22

 

 

Non-Divisional

Jackson Memorial 48, Lacey 43

Trailing by one point in the fourth quarter, Jackson Memorial outscored Lacey 19-13 to closeout the game and give Coach Rachel Goodale her 400th win of her career. Freshman Kayla Matos knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 15 points and Kaylee Ambos added 10 points for Jackson Memorial. Senior Reece Paget scored a game-high 23 points for Lacey.

Central Regional 41, Brick Memorial 27

Senior Vita Kelyman scored a game-high 15 points to lead Central to their second win of the season. Senior Addison Nolan added 8 points and junior Brianna Nelson scored 7 points to help the Golden Eagles. Liana Lapena scored a team-high 12 points for Brick Memorial.

 

Non-Conference

Pilgrim Academy 38, Pinelands 18

No. 10 Barnegat 48, Cedar Creek 11

Barnegat won their 9th game of the season after outscoring Cedar Creek 35-6 in the first half. Senior Emma Thornton posted her 9th double-double of the season with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Zemirah Enalls also had a double-double for Barnegar, 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Lakewood 48, LEAP Academy 8

Lakewood shut LEAP out in the first quarter and held to just two points in the second quarter to win their second game of the season. Dinasty Peace scored 24 points to lead Lakewood and Sanai Smith added 20 points.
