Raritan 33,  Monmouth 17

Raritan held Monmouth to one point in the third quarter to win their season opener. Senior Angela Peduto scored a game-high 11 points and Brooke Shea added 8 points for the Rockets.

Lacey 44, Point Beach 34

Lacey outscored Point Beach 19 to 10 in the second half to win their season opener. Senior Reece Paget had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds and Brooklynn Bell added 17 points, 8 rebounds and had a career-high in blocks with 7.

Middletown South 43, Manalapan 23

Shore 68, Toms River East 44

Shore opened up with a 13-2 first quarter to beat the Raiders in their home opener. Senior Kimi Sayson knocked down five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 25 points and junior Ava Coyle had three 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 21 points for the Blue Devils. Freshman Brooke Gathman scored a team-high 10 points for TRE.

Holmdel 31, Wall 22

Senior Mackenzie Teevan picked up her first double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds. She also finished with six blocks and Claire Gillespie had five steals for the Hornets in a strong defensive performance. Sophomore Ashlyn Holobinko scored a team-high 8 points for Wall.

No. 1 Red Bank Catholic 70, St. Joseph by the Sea (NY) 44

The top ranked Caseys had a dominant second half and outscored St. Joseph by the Sea 38 to 21 to win their opening game of the season. Senior Tessa Carman scored a game-high 22 points and Addy Nyemchek added 12 points.
