Class A South
Southern 56, Manchester 41
Southern outscored Manchester 16 to 8 in the second quarter and hung on to win their first Class A South game. Seniors Casey Collins and Samantha Russell both scored 15 points to lead Southern. Russell went 9-for-10 from the free-throw line and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Class A North
Colts Neck 63, Ocean 23
Colts Neck got out to a 16-9 lead after the first quarter and then scored 42 points throughout the second and third quarter to win the Class A North match-up. Sophomore Jamie Lombardo scored a career-high 11 points and freshman Avery Wallace added 10 points for Colts Neck. Junior Yassmeen Youssef scored a team-high 11 points and freshman Emme Burke added 10 points for Ocean.

Asbury Park at Point Beach, 4 p.m.
Toms River South 41, Matawan 21
After a tight 1st quarter, Toms River South exploded to a 21-6 halftime lead with a strong 2nd quarter and held strong the rest of the way against Matawan. Sophomore Linsey Cribbin scored a game-high 19 points while Senior Madeline Krohn added 8 points in the win for the Indians.
Jackson Memorial 50, Middletown North 40
Jackson Memorial jumped out to a 30-13 halftime lead and held on to defeat Middletown North and improve their record to 5-2 on the season. Junior Isabella Finer led the Jaguars in scoring with 13 points in addition to grabbing 6 rebounds and blocking 6 shots while Sophomore Cali Brown added 12 points and Junior Julianna Old recorded a 10 point and 14 rebound double-double performance in the win.
