Shore Conference Tournament

(5) Point Boro 2, (12) Freehold Township 1

In a rematch of last year’s Shore Conference Tournament Final, Point Boro (11-1) scored the games first two goals to take a 2-0 lead late into the second half and held on after Freehold Township (6-7-2) scored a late goal.  Grace Tansey led the Panthers with a goal and an assist and Megan Viggiano had an assist on a corner kick. Abby Crowell scored Point Boro’s second goal.

Freshman Morgan Notaro scored her 10th goal of the season for the Patriots.

Point Boro will host (13) Rumson-Fair Haven on Tuesday in the quarterfinal round of the SCT.

(1) Manalapan 2, (16) Manasquan 1

Junior Kayla Sasso scored two goals to lead the Braves (13-0) past the Warriors (7-7). Senior forward Olivia Ziobro and junior forward Vanessa Salinas each tallied an assist.

(2) Central 4, (15) Marlboro 0 

Junior Leah DiCillo scored two goals to lead Central (13-0-1) into the quarterfinal round of the SCT. DiCillo now has 8 goals and 11 assists on the season. All-Shore defender Emma Christensen scored a goal and dished out an assist for the Golden Eagles. Sophomore Addison Fruilo made four saves to earn her 11th shutout of the season.

Central will host (10) Trinity Hall on Tuesday in the quarterfinal round.

(10) Trinity Hall 1, (7) Wall 0

With 2:30 left in regulation Kailyn Fitzgerald took a pass from Lily Guli and and blasted a shot to the far corner to send Trinity Hall (14-2-2) into the SCT quarterfinal round for the first time in the school’s history. Fitzgerald, a junior, leads the Monarchs with 14 goals this season. Senior Emily Venezia made six saves to earn her Shore Conference-high 12th shutout. Trinity Hall will travel to (2) Central on Tuesday to play in the quarterfinal round.

(6) Toms River South 2, (11) Toms River East 0

Toms River South (10-1-2) scored two first half goals to beat Toms River East (10-5) for the second time this season. Daniella Gordon scored her team-high 11th goal for the Indians and Ellie O’Leary scored her second of the season. Sophomore Reese Lindemann made five saves for TRS to earn her 9th shutout of the season.

Toms River South will travel to face (3) Howell in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday.

(3) Howell 3, (14) Lacey 0

Junior Makenzie Memmolo scored two goals and freshman Alyssa Skierski scored a goal as the Rebels (11-3) blanked the Lions (9-7). Sophomore Isabella Farinick assisted on all three goals. Senior goalie Leila Shaw recorded six saves.

(13) Rumson-Fair Haven 1,  (4) Red Bank Catholic 0 2OT

Rumson (11-6) shocked the Shore Conference with 1:14 left in double overtime when Duke commit Jordyn Sullivan scored the golden goal to send the Bulldogs into the quarterfinal round of the SCT. Sullivan, who is only a junior, scored her 24th goal of the season off a pass from Maren Kennedy. Senior Ella Curran made five saves to earn her second straight shutout and fourth of the season.

Rumson will travel to (5) Point Boro on Tuesday in the quarterfinal round.

(9) Middletown South 5, (8) St. John Vianney 2

 

Coaches Cup

(1) Shore 2, (16) St. Rose 0

Senior Ava Coyle scored two first half goals to lead Shore (7-6) into the quarterfinal round of the Coaches Cup. Jenna Eichenbaum had one assist in the game for the Blue Devils. Freshman Sydney Tilton made five saves for her third shutout of the season.

Shore will host (8) Matawan in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday.

(8) Matawan 2, (9) New Egypt 1 2OT

Junior Rylie Signorile scored the golden goal in double overtime to send Matawan (7-7-1) into the quarterfinal round of the Coaches Cup. Emilia Janiszewski scored her 7th goal of the season for the Huskies. Junior Jessica Queenan amde 8 saves in her first career start in goal.

(6) Holmdel 6, (13) Ranney 1

Freshman midfielder Shayla Shah scored two goals and tallied two assists while junior Ava Bielan scored two goals as the Hornets (6-7) raced past the Panthers (5-10). Junior Tori Klein and sophomore Aylen Peters each added a goal. Peters and junior midfielder Season Yan each tallied an assist.

 

Consultation Games

Southern 2, Toms River North 0 

The Rams (8-6) shutout the Mariners (4-10) behind goals from sophomore Isla Carvajal and freshman Lily Atkins. Sophomore Emma Little and Brinley Reynolds each tallied an assist. Junior goalie Jacklynn Donnelly recorded four saves.

Jackson 2, Middletown North 1

The Jaguars (9-7) topped the Lions (10-6) behind goals from senior Gabby Hamdi and junior Brooke Lavezzo. Senior midfielder Julie Ifantis tallied an assist. Junior goalie Grace Daut saved six shots in the win.

Colts Neck 2, Red Bank Regional 1

Olivia Brown scored two second half goals to give her a team-high 12 on the season to lead Colts Neck (7-8) 2-1 win over Red Bank Regional (5-7-1). Silvana Bartelli made 10 saves in the victory for the Cougars.
