Shore Conference Tournament
Group 1
No. 3 Red Bank Catholic 2, Lacey 0
RBC (10-2) scored two second half goals to defeat Lacey (7-6) and clinch a bye in the opening round of the Shore Conference Tournament. Sophomore Grace Pauwels scored the game winner in the 71st minute and Paige Foye added another with about three minutes left to play. Junior Heidi Wierman made 8 saves for 7th shutout of the season.
Point Beach 3, Brick 1
Senior Ellie Loffreno scored two goals and tallied an assist in the first half to help the Garnet Gulls (5-8) defeat the Dragons (4-7-1). Junior Katie Kirchner added a goal and an assist. Junior midfielder Avery Barger tallied an assist. Sophomore goalie Alex Kuzloski recorded 11 saves in the win.
Sophomore Olivia Dolan scored a second half goal in the loss for the Dragons.
Group 2
No. 1 Manalapan 2, Jackson 0
Senior midfielder Daniella Butash scored a goal and tallied an assist to lead the Braves (11-0) past the Jaguars (6-6). Senior midfielder Guilianna Naletilic also added a goal in the victory.
No. 10 Toms River East 7, Ranney 0
Brooklyn Chin scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help TRE (9-2) clinch a spot in the SCT. Keira Carney scored two goals and assisted a goal for the Raiders and Addison Gallagher had two assists.
Group 4
No. 7 Toms River South 3, No. 6 Middletown South 0
Daniella Gordon scored two goals and Jaelyn Mayne added a third to move TRS (7-1-2) into first place in SCT Group 4. Reese Lindemann made four saves to earn her 6th shutout of the season. A win or a tie over Colts Neck on Friday secures TRS a bye in the first round of the SCT.
Colts Neck 2, Holmdel 0
The Cougars (5-6) topped the Hornets (5-6) behind goals from senior Charli Pagano and junior Olivia Brown. Juniors Victoria Beninato and Liz Buzzetta each tallied an assist. Junior goalie Silvana Bartelli recorded seven saves in the win.
Group 5
No. 4 Central 1, Manasquan 0
Senior Emma Christensen scored off a corner kick by Leah DiCillo to clinch first place in SCT Group 5 for Central (10-0-1). Addison Frulio made five saves for her 8th shutout of the season.
Madeline Petrulla made 8 saves for Manasquan (6-5).
Ocean 1, Neptune 0
Junior Erin Toppi scored the game winner for Ocean (4-9-1) to lead them to their third straight victory. Senior Grace Fuller earned her 4th shutout of the season for the Spartans.
Group 6
Marlboro 6, Pinelands 0
Marlboro (6-4-1) scored five first half goals to earn three points in SCT Group 6 and advance into the SCT. Senior Avery Pesce scored two goals and had an assist and Elizabeth Stellato scored one goal and had two assists for the Mustangs.
Group 7
No. 2 Howell 1, Trinity Hall 0
Junior Makenzie Memmolo scored her 12th goal of the season in the second half to help Howell (10-1) clinch a bye in the SCT. Leila Shaw made six saves in the shutout to earn her 5th save of the season.
Middletown North 3, Long Branch 2
Ava Coffey scored the game winner in the 42nd minute to give Middletown North (9-3) the win and sent them into the SCT on goals against tie-breaker. Kim McCarthy scored the first goal of the game in the second minute and Ava Cordoma scored in the 25th minute.
Group 8
No. 5 Point Boro 4, Rumson-Fair Haven 3
Trailing 3-2 at halftime, Point Boro (9-1) scored two goals in the second half to win SCT Group 8 and clinch a bye in the opening round of the SCT. Freshman Megan Viggiano scored a goal and assisted on three others to lead the Panthers.
Junior Jordyn Sullivan scored two goals to raise her total to 18 on the season and assisted on the third goal to lead Rumson (8-5).
Toms River North 5, Matawan 1
Junior Lauren Kuhn scored two goals and tallied an assist to help guide the Mariners (4-7) past the Huskies (6-6-1). Junior Ella Felicetta added two goals. Senior midfielder Sara Caso scored a goal and tallied an assist. Sophomore Molly Tantum also added a goal. Juniors Alessandra Bell and Olivia Forlenza each tallied an assist.
Nondivisional
Barnegat 5, Donovan Catholic 1
Barnegat (9-6) scored three first goals in the first half and added two more in the second half to win a non-divisional game against Donovan (2-8-1). Kylei Grant scored two goals for Barnegat and Emma Freitas scored a goal and assisted on two others.
Sarah Franks scored Donovan’s lone goal.
Raritan 5, Monmouth 3
Raritan (6-7) got a hat-trick from Carina Szorosy to become the first 20-goal goal scorer in the Shore Conference. Freshman Sienna Kelly added two goals and had three assists in the Rocket win.
Sophomore Julianna Emerson scored two goals for Monmouth (4-8) to increase her total to 8 goals scored.
