Opening Round

(9) Toms River East 9, (8) Toms River North 3

Leading 5-1 going into the top of 7th inning, TRE scored four runs to put the game out of reach and advance into the second round of the Ocean County Tournament. Kylie Paladino went 2-for-3 with a triple, double and RBI and Addison Gallagher went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored for the Raiders. Sophomore Brielle Troy earned the victory on the mound for TRE.

Stephanie Barone went 3-for-4 with a run scored and RBI and Mia Scarpa had a RBI triple for TRN.

(5) Pinelands 6, (12) Brick Memorial 1

(6) Barnegat 11, (11) Manchester 1

Gianna Gomez continues her dominant performance on the mound, not allowing an earned run and striking out 16 batters in the first round of the Ocean County Tournament. Brooke Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs and Eva Watts went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to lead Barnegat at the plate.

(10) New Egypt 10, (7) Toms River South 7

Junior Katelyn Thomas went 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs and Olivia Stillwell added two hits and scored three runs to help New Egypt advance into the second round of the OCT.

Ella Fischer went 3-for-4 with a RBI for TRS and both Ally Malek and Addison Tupper had two hits and a run scored.

(2) Southern 20, (15) Lacey 10

(4) Central Regional 19, (13) Jackson Liberty 8

(3) Jackson Memorial 17, (14) Point Beach 3

Tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Jackson Memorial scored 13 runs to advance into the second round of the OCT. Freshman Mia Ingenito earned the victory on the mound and went 2-for-2 with four runs scored for the Jaguars. Dominique Lopez went 3-for-3 and was a single away from the cycle while driving in five runs. Emily Hersh drove in four runs with a triple and a double for Jackson Memorial.

(1) Point Boro 18, (16) Brick Township 0

Dakota Palmieri struck out seven batters in the shutout victory for Point Boro in the opening round of the OCT. Lindsey Jamieson went 1-for-2 with three RBIs and Jadyn Clayton drove in two runs for the Panthers.

 

Round 2

(1) Point Boro 3, (9) Toms River East 1

Dakota Palmieri did not allow an earned run and struck out seven batters to send Point Boro back into the OCT semifinal round. Palmieri also doubled in a run and Tezra Kawczynski hit a triple and scored a run for the Panthers. Point Boro will play Pinelands in the semifinal round of the Ocean County Tournament.

(5) Pinelands 16,  (4) Central 1

(3) Jackson Memorial 12, (6) Barnegat 1

Leading 5-1 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, Jackson Memorial scored seven runs to secure their place into the semifinal round of the OCT. Emily Hersh struck out six batters and had a RBI and run scored for the Jaguars. Nina Striano had two hits and drove in three runs and Alexandra Santos went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored. Jackson Memorial will face New Egypt in the semifinal round of the Ocean County Tournament.

(10) New Egypt 6, (2) Southern 3

 

 

Non-Divisional

(5) Middletown North 5, Wall 1

Middletown North scored all five runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning to win their third straight game. Madilynn Boyce did not allow an earned run and struck out 17 batters for the victory. Hailey Keiser went 3-for-4 with a RBI and Adrianna Lisotto had two hits and drove in two runs for the Lions.
