2025-2026 Shore Sports Insider Girls Basketball Week 7 Top 10
1. St. John Vianney (20-2) Last Week: 1 – The Lancers remain No. 1 after posting a 3-0 week and clinching the Class A North co-championship. SJV started the week with two wins over divisional opponents, defeating St Rose 58-26 behind 16 points from senior center Taylor Sofilkanich, and beating Red Bank 79-42, with Sofilkanich again leading the way with 23. The Lancers went out of conference and defeated Thrive Charter 71-26 in the SJIBT. SJV earned the second seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will take on the winner of the Toms River South/Shore game on Thursday at home.

2. Red Bank Catholic (21-2) Last Week: 2 – RBC remains No. 2 this week after going 3-0 and clinching the Class A North co-championship. The Caseys started out the week by defeating two division rivals, a 71-38 win over Red Bank and a 63-44 win over Manasquan. Senior guard Katie Liggio led the Caseys with 21 in the win over Red Bank, and senior forward Addy Nyemchek scored 23 in the win over Manasquan. RBC went out of conference and defeated Cardinal O’Hara from Pennsylvania 41-33, led by Nyemchek’s 19 points. RBC earned the top seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will take on the winner of the Point Boro/Marlboro game on Thursday at home.

3. Manasquan (17-4) Last Week: 3 – The Warriors hold down their spot this week after going 1-1 after losing to the second-ranked team. Manasquan defeated divisional rival Rumson-Fair Haven 64-44 to start their week, led by senior guard Jordyn Hollowell’s 20 points. The Warriors then dropped a battle with second-ranked RBC, 63-44, with Hollowell again scoring 20. Manasquan earned the third seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will face the winner of the Toms River East/Manchester game on Thursday at home.

4. Rumson-Fair Haven (14-8) Last Week: 4 – Rumson-Fair Haven, despite going 0-2 for the week, held on to the No. 4 spot this week due to their overall body of work against an extremely tough schedule within their own division this season. RFH lost to third-ranked Manasquan 64-44. Senior forward Erin Reid led the Bulldog with 15 points. The Bulldogs also dropped a divisional game to St Rose 49-28, with Grace Smith leading the team with 10 points. RFH earned the fourth seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will face the winner of Jackson/Central on Thursday at home.

5. Colts Neck (17-4) Last Week: 7 – The Cougars move up two spots this week after going 3-0 and clinching the Class B North title outright. Colts Neck started the week by defeating two division opponents. The Cougars defeated Wall 45-32, led by sophomore Allison McAndrew’s 20 points. The Cougars then defeated seventh-ranked Trinity Hall 32-24, to seal the division title. Colts Neck ended their week with a 51-37 win over Egg Harbor in the War vs. The Shore event at Mainland. The Cougars earned the five seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will face the winner of Middletown South/Keansburg on Thursday at home.

6. Howell (16-4) Last Week: 8 – Howell went 2-0 on the week and moves up two spots. The Rebels started their week with a 50-33 win over previously sixth-ranked Trinity Hall 50-33, led by junior forward Kylee Beam’s 18 points. Howell then defeated Holmdel 49-34 behind senior guard BellaRose Marino’s 17-point effort. The Rebels earned the sixth seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will face the winner of Brick/Holmdel on Thursday at home.
7. Trinity Hall (16-6) Last Week: 6 – The Monarchs lost two of their three games this week and fall one spot. Trinity Hall started their week with a 50-33 setback against Howell. Senior forward Grace Feeney led the Monarchs with 11. Trinity Hall then dropped another divisional game, 32-24, at the hands of preivious seventh-ranked Colts Neck. Feeney again led the Monarchs with 10. Trinity Hall ended their week with a 59-32 win over previously fifth-ranked Neptune 59-32, led by senior guard Whitney Hobson’s 20 points. The Monarchs earned the seventh seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will face the winner of Neptune/Southern on Thursday at home.

8. Neptune (14-2) Last Week: 5 – The Scarlet Fliers dropped three spots after going 2-1 on the week and suffering yet another significant injury. Neptune started their week with two wins over divisional opponents, defeating Ocean 55-11 behind junior guard Lana Ellington’s 17 points, and beating Middletown North 41-32, with Ellington again leading the way with 22. Neptune fell apart against previously sixth-ranked Trinity Hall 59-32. Sophomore center Bryanna Edgerson led Neptune with 11 points, but the Scarlet Fliers lost sophomore guard London Carey to a hand injury that could cost her the rest of the season. Neptune is already without star forward Tyeera Howard who was lost to a knee injury. The Scarlet Fliers earned the tenth seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will face Southern on Tuesday at home.
9. Keansburg (17-0) Last Week: 9 – The Titans remain the only undefeated team in the Shore, going 2-0 for the week. Keansburg ended their divisional schedule with a 10-0 record, defeating Matawan 51-34 and Asbury Park 47-16. Senior guard Gabriella Flanzbaum led the Titans with 15 and 20 points, respectively. The Titans were given the 21 seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will play at Middletown South on Tuesday looking to prove themselves against a higher caliber of competition.

10. Brick (13-7) Last Week: 10 – Brick continues their late-season surge, going 4-0 for the week and remaining at No. 10. The Dragons defeated Toms River North 57-40, Toms River South 49-40, Lacey 55-36, and Pt Boro 42-35. Sophomore guard Ariana Wissen scored a combined 89 points for the week. Brick earned the 11 seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will play Holmdel at home on Tuesday.
