Henry Hudson 56, New Egypt 47

Junior JoJo Newell scored a game-high 26 points and the Admirals (15-6) rallied back from an eight-point third-quarter deficit to beat the Warriors (8-12) and clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament on the final day before the cutoff for the second straight year.

Senior Billy Quinn led the Henry Hudson supporting cast with eight points, while senior Nolan Arnold paced New Egypt with 21 points.

Middletown South 73, Ranney 64

Freshman Ryan Gannon drained 31 points and the Eagles (13-8) avenged a December loss to Ranney by out-dueling the Panthers (11-8) in the rematch to close out the regular season prior to the Shore Conference Tournament.

Freshman Ryan Wells poured in 21 points and senior Michael Fitzpatrick added 10 for Middletown South. Junior Andrew Mardahaev led Ranney with 16 points and junior Christian Lopez added 10 in the loss.

No. 7 Jackson 56, Point Beach 46

Senior George Boley scored a game-high 21 points to go with eight rebounds and sophomore Mi’Aire Anderson turned in a double-double as the Jaguars (15-4) came alive in the second half to erase a seven-point third-quarter deficit and defeat the Garnet Gulls (17-6) on the road in a game between the top two teams in Ocean County by power points.

Anderson poured in 15 points while grabbing 13 rebounds and senior Yaseer Johnson chipped in 12 points and three assists for Jackson, which outscored Point Beach, 31-14, over the final 14:30 of the game after Point Beach surged to a 32-25 lead in the opening 90 seconds of the third quarter.

Junior Ryan Mahoney led a balanced Point Beach offense with 13 points, with senior Elijah Ives adding 11 and juniors George Breckenridge and Tyler Preston each throwing in eight for the Garnet Gulls.

Southern 68, St. Rose 59

Junior Noah Perna went for 24 points and seven rebounds while senior Jake Sliwinski and junior Gavin Gerckens each turned in a double-double as the Rams (11-8) rolled to a win over the Purple Roses (4-19).

Gerckens scored 15 points while grabbing 12 rebounds and picking off three steals. Sliwinski poured in 12 points, grabbed five rebounds and dealt out 10 assists. Junior Josh Brofman also threw in eight points for Southern.

Senior Tyler Cameron scored a game-high 25 points while classmate O’Rien Campbell and sophomore Ajay Catanio each chipped in 12 to lead St. Rose.

Monmouth 56, Colts Neck 54

Senior Ahmir Wiggins rained in 19 points and the Falcons scored a road win over the Cougars to boost their Shore Conference Tournament résumé a day before the tournament is seeded.

Junior Logan Conrade added 14 points and senior Jaylin Reeves pitched in nine for Monmouth. Senior Dillon Younger scored 22 points and sophomore Nate Sloane drained 20 to lead Colts Neck.

Matawan 60, Pinelands 50

Senior Colin Reitmann scored nine of his 15 points and three of his four three-pointers in the first half before sophomore Cayson Williams brought it home with 14 of his team-high 15 after halftime as the Huskies (10-11) pulled away for a win over the Wildcats (14-5) that likely lands them the last spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Matawan took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter and outscored Pinelands, 18-10, in the final quarter, which included 10 points from Williams over the final eight minutes. Junior Christian Baskerville and sophomore Sean Euell each added 10 points and senior Trevor Cole rounded out a balanced offensive effort for Matawan with nine.

Junior Chris Husni scored a game-high 17 points while classmate Cayden Lucas netted 11 and fellow junior Sam Kilasi contributed nine off the bench for Pinelands, which likely lost out on a spot in the SCT with Saturday’s loss.

Shore 56, Long Branch 34

Senior Andrew Barham scored 20 points and twin brother Ryan poured in 12 to lead the Blue Devils (16-4) to a win over the Green Wave (4-17) on Senior Night. Junior Maddox Paulin also threw in nine points for Shore.

Senior Josh Da Cruz scored 12 points and classmate Nathan Pessoa netted 10 to lead Long Branch.

No. 10 Holmdel 72, Freehold Boro 35

East Brunswick 55, No. 3 Red Bank Catholic 45

Matt Mikulka scored 16 of his game-high 18 points in the second half and the Bears (18-5) outscored the Caseys (16-6), 34-21, after the break to pick up a road win. Junior Ryder Ciorciari scored 16 points to lead Red Bank Catholic and junior Tyler Hager threw in nine in the loss.

No. 5 Howell 55, Hamilton West 47

Juniors Jayson Parker and Noah Musto each scored 13 points and the Rebels (17-4) topped the Hornets (7-14) to match the single-season program record for wins in a season, set by the 1981-82 and 2023-24 teams.

Colonia 52, No. 2 Wall 46

Sophomore Jayce Rodriguez scored a game-high 24 points, including two pivotal baskets in the fourth quarter that helped the Patriots (14-8) hand the Crimson Knights (17-1) their first loss of the season.

Senior Brian McKenna scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half as Wall erased a 27-20 halftime deficit with a 16-3 run that put the Crimson Knights ahead, 36-30, late in the third quarter. Colonia scored four points before the end of the third and with the game tied, 40-40, with just over three minutes to go, Rodriguez hit a contested, tie-breaking three-pointer to give his team a 43-40 lead it would not give back. He then made an acrobatic reverse layup to make it 47-41 with under two minutes to go before McKenna converted a three-point play to give Wall life, 47-44.

With his team trailing, 49-46, Wall senior Liam Killea stole the ball to give the Crimson Knights a chance to tie the game, but the possession ended with a turnover with 28 seconds left. Killea finished with 11 points.
