South Jersey Group 3 Quarterfinals

The Wildcats (18-5) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning before the Blue Devils (19-8) took the lead back for good in the bottom of the 3rd with 2 runs. Hammonton would score 2 more runs in the 5th and then the 6th before sealing the game with an 8 run explosion in the 7th inning. Sophomore 2B Cassie Gould tripled in the 1st inning. Sophomore 1B Kendall Falduto followed that up with an RBI single to give the Wildcats the lead. After just 2 hits in the first two innings, Hammonton’s bats came alive in the 3rd inning. They would total 19 hits on the game.

Gould finished 2 for 4 with the triple and a run in the loss. Junior Audra Daniel finished 2 for 3.

The Wildcats will return 7 starters next year but will have to replace two highly productive four-year starters in senior pitcher Elianna Meola and senior catcher Hannah Theuret.
