The Griffins (26-1) scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th to break the game open from a 4-3 deficit to an 8-4 lead and defeat the rival Lancers (18-3) and capture the Non-Public South Jersey A Championship. Junior catcher Jaelynn Nunez went 2 for 3 and crushed a home run with 3 RBIs and a run. Senior SS Christina Ginex was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 RBIs, and a run. Senior 1B/P Sophia Senger finished 1 for 4 with a triple, an RBI, and a run. Sophomore 2B Isabella Cino went 1 for 4 with a double, an RBI, and a run. Senior RF Gia Gordon was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Senger earned the win on the mound in relief as she struck out 3 batters and allowed just 2 hits and a walk in 4 innings of action.

The Griffins will await Mount St. Dominic in a game scheduled for Wednesday, June 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Ivy Hill Park. The Lady Lions sport a 26-4 record and are currently ranked number 2 in the state according to NJ Advance Media.
