Mount St. Dominic 4, Donovan Catholic 3

Junior 1B Jillian Cianfrocca, a Villanova commit, crushed a solo home run in the top of the 7th inning to break a tie game and lead the Lady Lions (28-4) to a state championship victory over the Griffins (26-2). Sophomore pitcher Ava Kelshaw struck out 7 batters and allowed 7 hits, 3 walks, and 2 earned runs in the win for Mount St. Dominic.

Junior Isabella Maria went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run in the loss. Senior Olivia Kurth was 2 for 4 with a run. Senior Christina Ginex finished 1 for 4 with an RBI triple. Sophomore Isabella Cino went 1 for 3 with a triple and a run. Senior Sophia Senger was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

The Griffins will lose a significant amount of talent to graduation including hits leader Christina Ginex, Gianna Apostolakos, Gia Gordon, Olivia Kurth, and Sophia Senger. The cupboard is far from bare however as the Griffins return key players including Isabella Cino, Gylian Hixenbaugh, Caroline Kopp, Isabella Maria, Jaelynn Nunez, Dani Rodriguez, and more.
