Middletown South 5, Shore 1
Sophomore pitcher Riley Smith struck out 14 batters, allowed 0 earned runs, and gave up just 4 hits and 1 walk in a complete game win for Middletown South (6-1) against Shore (6-3). Junior Reilly Connolly went 1 for 2 with a double, 2 RBIs, and a walk. Smith went 2 for 3 with an RBI at the plate. Senior Aileen Henderson hit an RBI single in the win for the Eagles.
Sophomore Ayden Kampf went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI in the loss for the Blue Devils. Junior Olivia DeFonce scored the lone run after getting on base with a double.
Marlboro 11, Rumson-Fair Haven 0 (5 innings)
Junior pitcher Emily Gaudio threw a 5-inning perfect game to lead Marlboro (6-4) past Rumson-Fair Haven (3-5) in Monmouth County Tournament action. Gaudio struck out 13 of the 15 batters that she faced. Sophomore Alyssa Abadiatokis went 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Sophomore Isabella Wuelfing hit a 2 RBI triple. Sophomore Ashlee Chen hit an RBI triple. Senior Aimee Notaro finished 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and an RBI.
Class A South
Jackson Memorial 14, Central 0 (5 innings)
Junior pitcher Emily Hersh struck out 7 batters and gave up just 3 hits and 4 walks in a 5 inning shutout victory for Jackson Memorial (6-6, 2-5) against Central (4-5, 2-4). Senior Alexandra Santos went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Senior Nina Striano went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Senior Victoria Marconi went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Freshman Tara Steppat finished 1 for 2 with a walk and an RBI in the win for the Jaguars.
No. 9 Southern 11, Point Boro 2
Junior Emily Zellman went 2 for 3 and crushed a home run and 4 RBIs to lead Southern (5-4, 4-2) to a divisional win over Point Boro (6-5, 2-3). Senior pitcher Emily Evans struck out 7 batters and allowed 5 hits and just 1 earned run in the win for the Rams. Evans also hit a 2 RBI single at the plate. Senior Kayla Riley hit a 2 RBI single.
Junior Cassidy Supplee went 2 for 3 with a home run in the loss for the Panthers.
Class B North
No. 10 Raritan 5, Holmdel 0
Freshman pitcher Katelyn Ruta struck out 7 batters and allowed 6 hits in a Raritan (8-0, 5-0) shutout victory over Holmdel (4-3, 1-3). Freshman Brielle Brosonski went 2 for 3, smashed a home run, and had 3 RBIs. Sophomore Janelle Clausi hit a 2 RBI single. Sophomore Holly Bellofatto went 2 for 3 with a double and scored a run in the win for the Rockets.
Class B South
No. 6 Pinelands 3, Manasquan 0
Senior pitcher Elianna Meola struck out 9 batters and allowed 3 hits and 3 walks in a full game shutout win for Pinelands (10-1, 6-1) against Manasquan (2-6, 2-5). Sophomore Kendall Falduto went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Junior Madison Wilbert went 2 for 4 with an RBI.
New Egypt 8, Howell 5
Senior Megan Miller smashed 2 home runs while junior Katelyn Thomas crushed 1 home run to lead New Egypt (6-5, 4-2) past Howell (5-3, 4-3). Miller finished 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, and a walk. Thomas finished 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBIs. Junior Olivia Stillwell went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Freshman Caroline Davis went 2 for 3 along with scoring 2 runs and getting hit by a pitch.
Freshman Katelyn Murphy went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs in the loss for the Rebels. Senior Keira Murphy smashed a solo home run. Junior Madison Winemiller hit an RBI single.
Brick Memorial 6, Point Beach 4
Trailing 2-0 going into the bottom of the 4th inning, Brick Memorial scored five runs to take a 5-2 lead an added another in the 6th to improbe to 6-3 on the season. Gisella Lizardi went 3-for-4 with a RBI and Carly Hobbs drove in two runs on two hits for the Mustangs.
Wall 11, Toms River North 1
Senior pitcher Emily Gill struck out 12 batters and allowed 5 hits, 1 walk, and just 1 earned run in a Wall’s (4-3, 4-2) victory over Toms River North (1-9, 0-7). Sophomore Brooke Roland went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Senior Gianna Mossa hit a 3 RBI single. Freshman Essie Harr finished 3 for 3 with a double, a walk, and an RBI. Senior Ella Bramley went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles.
Class C South
Toms River South 19, Manchester 3 (5 innings)
Toms River South (5-6, 3-3) totaled 13 hits including home runs by seniors Sophia Colon and Candice Peck to defeat Manchester (2-5, 2-4) in 5 innings. Peck went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBIs while Colon went 1 for 4 with a home run, 2 RBIs, and 2 walks. Senior Ally Malek finished 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Freshman Ella Fischer went 3 for 5 with an RBI. Senior pitcher Charlotte Supino earned the win with 3 strikeouts, no earned runs, 2 hits allowed, and 3 walks.
Coastal
Red Bank 17, Neptune 9
Trailing 4-3 going into the bottom of the 3rd inning, RBR scored eight runs on their way to their 5th win of the season. Hannah Smolinski went 3-for-4 with a triple, double and four runs scored and Noelle Park scored three runs for the Bucs.
