Ocean County Tournament Semifinals
(3) Jackson Memorial 4, (10) New Egypt 1
Senior Dominique Lopez hit a 2 RBI double while senior Victoria Marconi went 2 for 3 with an RBI and senior Makayla Parikh hit an RBI single to lead Jackson Memorial (5-6) past New Egypt (5-5) into the the Ocean County Tournament Championship. Freshman pitcher Mia Ingenito struck out 4 batters and allowed just 1 earned run after giving up 7 hits and walking 3 batters in the win for the Jaguars. Jackson Memorial is scheduled to play Pinelands in the Ocean County Tournament Championship on May 6 at 7 p.m. at Adventure Crossing in Jackson.
Class B South
Howell 11, No. 6 Pinelands 4
Senior Emily Richards went 3 for 4 and smacked 2 home runs with 5 RBI’s to propel Howell (5-2, 4-2) past formerly unbeaten Pinelands (9-1, 5-1). Senior Madyson Nagy was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s. Senior Jordan Sarka went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Senior Madisyn Zito went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Zito earned the win on the mound striking out 6 batters and allowing 2 earned runs.

No. 10 Raritan 9, Lacey 3
Raritan (7-0) remained unbeaten after another strong performance against Lacey (3-6). Freshman pitcher Katelyn Ruta earned the win after striking out 9 batters, allowing just 2 hits and and 2 walks, and giving up just 1 earned run in 6 innings on the mound. Sophomore Abigail Rehfeld hit a single with 2 RBI’s while sophomore Holly Bellofatto went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.
No. 5 Marlboro 11, Freehold Boro 3
Sophomore pitcher Isabella Wuelfing struck out 9 batters and allowed just 3 hits and 3 walks to help guide Marlboro (5-4) past Freehold Boro (1-8). Senior Aimee Notaro went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 4 RBI’s. Wuelfing was 1 for 2 with a solo home run at the plate. Senior Sophia Costa went 3 for 4 with an RBI.
Barnegat 8, Toms River East 7
Barnegat (9-3) faced a 7-2 deficit heading into the top of the 7th inning and rallied to score 6 runs before holding on to defeat Toms River East (3-5). Sophomore Gianna Gomez 2 for 4 with a home run and 4 RBI’s. Gomez also struck out 16 batters on the mound. Freshman Brooke Rizzo went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI’s. Junior Riley Schmidt hit an RBI double in the win for the Bengals.

Public/Private Challenge at Ivy Park
Morris Catholic 3, No. 4 Middletown North 0
Morris Catholic scored all three run in the bottom of the 6th inning on just two hits to beat Middletown North. Madilynn Boyce struck out 16 batters for Middletown North and only allowed the two hits and one walk in the game. Rachel Dunn drove in all three runs on a double for Morris Catholic. Adrianna Lisotto was the only Lion to get a hit in the game.
Colts Neck 6, Mount St. Dominic 5
Trailing 5-3 going into the 6th inning, Colts Neck scored three runs to improve to 3-4 on the season. Angela Sasso struck out 15 batters or the Cougars in the victory. Jillian Heyser went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and four RBI’s and Gabriella Bryce went 3-for-3 with three runs scored for Colts Neck.
Carlee Paez went 3-for-3 with three RBI’s for Mount St. Dominic.
