The Lions (6-5) fell to the Paladins (11-2) despite 15 strikeouts from senior pitcher Madilynn Boyce. Senior Natalie Trezza went 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI in the loss.
Immaculata 13, No. 4 Middletown North 1 (5 innings)
No. 5 Marlboro 5, Cedar Grove 4 (8 innings)
Junior pitcher Emily Gaudio struck out 13 batters and allowed 6 hits, 2 earned runs, and 2 walks as the Mustangs (7-6) knocked off the Panthers (11-2) who are ranked number 5 in the state according to NJ Advance Media. The Mustangs trailed 3-0 heading into the top of the 6th inning when they rallied with 3 runs. They scored 2 runs in the top of the 8th before holding the Panthers to 1 in the bottom of the final inning. Sophomore Alyssa Abadiatokis went 2 for 4 with 2 triples and 3 RBIs.

The Cougars (4-6) fell to the Crusaders (11-2) despite a strong effort from junior pitcher Angela Sasso. Sasso struck out 5 batters and allowed just 3 hits, 2 hit batters, and 1 earned run. Junior Gabriella Bryce hit a double, stone a base, and scored the lone run in the loss on an RBI from freshman Jillian Heyser.
No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 11, Watchung Hills 1 (5 innings)
Senior pitcher Lily Hagan struck out 9 batters and allowed just 1 unearned run, 3 hits, and 2 walks as the Caseys (11-1) defeated the Warriors (10-2) at the Black and Gold Invitational at Cedar Grove. Hagan also crushed a 2 run home run at the plate. Senior Nicole Knox went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and 2 RBIs. Sophomore Grace Lombardi was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Senior Sophia Lasater finished 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI. Junior Torri Case hit an RBI single.
