Class A South
Jackson Memorial 5, Point Boro 4
Jackson Memorial scored three runs in the top of the 1st inning an added one in the 2nd and the game winner in the 7th to improve to 9-6 on the season. Emily Hersh earned the win and struck out four batters on the mound. Mia Ingenito scored the game winner on an error and struck out one batter in four innings. Alexandra Santos went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored and Dominque Lopez went 2-for-3 with a RBI.
Ashley Palmieri went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Point Boro.
No. 1 Donovan Catholic 17, Central 1
Donovan exploded for 11 runs in the top of the 4th inning to improve their record to 13-0 on the season. Isabella Cino went 2-for-2 with two home runs and five RBIs, one of the home run was a grandslam. Olivia Kurth 2-for-2 with a home run, double and three runs scored. Dani Rodriguez struck out 6 batters to earn the victory.
No. 9 Southern 13, Toms River East 3
Class B North
Holmdel 12, Freehold Boro 2
Junior pitcher Julia Henderson allowed just 3 hits and 1 earned run in 5 innings to earn the win in Holmdel’s victory over Freehold Boro. Freshman Ava Forsyth and senior Haley Dulow both went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Sophomore Natalie Clifford was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and an RBI. Henderson finished 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and 2 RBIs at the plate.
Class B South
New Egypt 23, Toms River North 3
New Egypt bats came to life in their division game against TRN to improve to 9-6 on the season. Katelyn Thomas went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs and Olivia Stillwell went 4-for-5 with three doubles and three RBIs for New Egypt. Both Caroline Davis and Megan Miller drove in four runs with Davis going 4-for-5 with two doubles and four runs scored and Miller going 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Jackie Bowen struck out two batters to earn the win.
Rylee Spencer went 1-for-2 with a run scored for TRN.
No. 6 Pinelands 3, Wall 1
Pinelands scored all three runs in the bottom of the first inning and hung on to improve to 11-1 on the season. Elianna Meola only allowed four hits and one run over 7 innings. Hannah Theuret went 1-for-2 with a run scored and Cassie Gould went 1-for-3 with a run scored for Pinelands.
Emily Gill struck out seven batters and did not allow an earned run in the game for Wall.
Howell 12, Manasquan 2
Leading 3-2 going into the bottom of the 4th inning, Howell scored five runs to take control of the Class B South game and added four more to seal the game in the bottom of the 5th inning. Kiera Murphy went 2-for-2 with a home run, double and two RBIs and Emily Richards went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Rebels. Lydia Ziegler struck out five batters in the the victory.
Julia Carson went 2-for-3 with a double and run scored for Manasquan.
Class C South
Barnegat 7, Manchester 0
Barnegat extended their win streak to nine games after a two-hit shutout by Gianna Gomez. The Shore Conference leader in strikeouts fanned nine more batters in the victory. Riley Schmidt went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and Brooke Rizzo went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases for Barnegat.
Toms River South 15, Point Beach 12
After giving up a 10-2 lead, TRS scored five runs in the top of the 6th inning to retake a 15-11 lead and held on to improve to 7-8 on the season. Addison Tupper went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs and Sophia Colon went 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs for TRS. Candice Peck collected two hits and scored three times for Toms River South. Charlotte Supino earned the victory on the mound. and drove in two runs at the plate.
Olivia D’Erasmo went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs and Sydney Zylinski went 3-for-5 with three runs scored for Point Beach.
Lacey 1, Brick Memorial 0
Junior Chloe Emmons hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 2nd inning to provide the decisive run in Lacey’s victory over Brick Memorial. Sophomore pitcher Bella Byk was outstanding as she struck out 6 batters and allowed just 2 hits and 1 hit batter in the shutout.
Nondivisional
Monmouth 14, Red Bank 7
After building a 10-0 lead in the fifth inning, Monmouth was able to hold on after giving up 7 runs in the bottom of the 5th to improve to 6-6 on the season. Emma Riccardi went 2-for-3 with two home runs with four RBIs and Erin Clancey went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored and also drove in four runs for Monmouth. Samantha Mahoney struck out 6 batters to earn the victory.
